Subhan'Allah, some great points. I honestly hate it when people say that their goal in life is to be 'happy'. They are going to be let down. So unrealistic and primitive. Contentness? yes. Happiness? We are not living in cuckoo wonderland. Get over yourself and face reality. You are not going to be 'Happy' in this world, even if you disobey Allah to do so (in most cases, in trying to be 'happy', disobeys Allah - let's face it)... by which it will backfire. You are not going to be 'Happy' - because this life is a test. This is a western concept that is steeped in Fitnah. And Fitnah has it's retribution.
