Do you think it'd be good if you baked all the textures in cycles and brought them in? Pretty much cycles in web, right? Does it support particles? Hair?
@treazure
@treazure 7 жыл бұрын
87411111 803133 yes, baking cycles textures into your Blend4Web app does look the best. I have been starting to use B4W with baked cycles materials for showing ArchViz to people in their browser. Hair particles are supported, but it has limitations.
@BoogerBrain
@BoogerBrain 7 жыл бұрын
I've been trying to export to Unreal for the same reason as you (showing archviz). It's been a bit of a nightmare and i've given up on trying to some semblance of hair in unreal, so towels, rugs, throw blankets...i removed them all
@treazure
@treazure 7 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I tried Unreal briefly, but that was after I already started tinkering in Blend4Web. Unreal was too complicated to take the time to learn how to get things how I wanted. Then you still would need a decent computer to run the final visualization, which isn't ideal for clients. Blend4Web is much easier in my opinion & the clients can even view it on their mobile browser! I don't know about rugs & towels showing all the fiber detail. That may be too much. I'd bake that in a normal & AO map to apply as a material.

About getting your physics working. I suspect that if you install "node js" then run "npm install -g http-server" .... then navigate to where your html file is found in cmd prompt so "cd c:/myproject/" and then run http-server there.... it will create a local server to serve content in whatever folder you are inside. Then if you navigate to the localhost:portnumber it will give you then I bet your physics would be working. I do webgl and web development but never used this particular plugin so not sure but if you would like to try it might be of use to you :)

I'm having a problem with it, it keeps giving me this "traceback (most recent call list)" error or something like that, can someone help me? That's one of the things that pisses me off about this sh^t, whenever someone does it in a tutorial video it works, when I do it exactly how they're doing it, it doesn't work so... yeah, sorry about that.

So a video game is real time rendering. You see the results of the CGI graphics in real time. If you render out a video clip and it takes an hour- not real time.
