I lost 50 pounds by subtracting 500 a day, this method absolutely works and doesn't make you feel overwhelmed at all. This is definitely the easiest and least restrictive way to lose.

7 years ago I stubbed across your first video about tracking macros and I stayed up till like 4am just watching your videos trying to learn as much as I could. I ended up losing about 110lbs from 350 down to 235-245. I appreciate all the knowledge. Right now I’m back up at 280 but still trying to never go over 300 again. Been here since way before THE BEAR! 😂

I'll make this even easier for you all...Stay within your calories whether you are on bulk/cut/maint. and make sure that protein goal is hit. The carbs and fat don't even matter, unless you feel a certain way when you have too much fat or carbs or something. Hit that protein goal and cal goal, most important.

This video told me i need to be eating alot more to lose weight 🤯. Ive had days where i went over what i had in My Fitness Pal and was worried i wasnt in a defecit but apparently i was still way under. The math says i can loose weight with 3k cals and im floating around 2k a day. Crazy

Dont think of yourself as being in a caloric deficit. Think of it as: What is the macro split you can stick with for life and lose a bunch of weight in the beginning and then maintain for long term without changing it.

I am carb intolerant (apparently) and have now moved to a lower carb eating pattern, but I cant cut them out altogether like on Keto or the like. So I am on 45% Protein 30%Fat and 25% Carbs and now I notice if I put too many carbs in my meal when out (hello sourdough rolls) I get really tired and feel horrible. Amazing what your body starts to adapt to over a little time.

I'm going to have to try something different I guess. I've been tracking for a couple of years now and lately I've been gaining and losing the same 10lbs. I'm 6'2", 259lbs and about to turn 52 next week. I will admit I may not get everything tracked correctly, but I've been aiming for 180g of protein and around 2000 cals a day. I weight train 3-4 times a week and would say I average 5-6k steps a day or 30min or more on a stationary bike. I know that needs to be more like 10k or 60min. According to this vid a 500cal deficit would be almost 3400 cals? Should I maybe do the first calc off of my goal weight of 200 maybe?

My starting weight is 317. Multiply that by 15 and my calories are at 4755. I know I need to reduce them by more than just 500. Do I just adjust them and see how it feels after a week? Or is there a specific way to adjust to lose the weight? My final goal would be around 180-190 which is an intake of 2850 calories. Is that where I start? That seems like I would lose a lot of weight quickly which is good but I worry about losing it too fast.

Use TDEE calculator to calculate your cals. At 300lb you can easily cut out more than 500 calories, I assume you are not pure muscle and prob overweight (not trying to be mean)? If you have a lot of fat, your body will deff be fine cutting more than 500 cals
