He was discharged 2 years later due to his behavior stabilizing to a point where he doesn’t need to be monitored anymore. Afterward, a friend (who still spoke to him) helped him find a job, which happened to be CBEAR

Oh... honestly, I'm unsure what to think here. On the other hand, Michael definitely didn't deserved to be almost murdered and murder isn't something I generally agree with but on the other hand, I can't blame Theresea's reaction at Michael's words and actions. The fact Michael; spent all the money for their younger brother's hospital (which she worked for THREE months), acted like it wasn't a big deal & told her she was overreacting, is also the CAUSE of why their brother is in the hospital and finally ending it with telling her that he hopes their brother ACTUALLY does die. No matter how much I want to spin this, I can't symphatize with Michael that much do to those prev actions. (Btw, I haven't been caught up with your 2nd AU so I'm not sure if I'm being fair with Michael here, do correct me if I'm wrong! I only assumed based on this video so maybe there's more context with Michael's awful behavior, amazing storytelling as always

He's not sure himself. Maybe it's because he believed he deserved the torment. Maybe it's because he didn't want to give up and d13 like Theresa wanted. It's still a mystery to this day
