Please do not register for Passbook by Remitly, they will close your account once you start using your card. I am a US citizen and provided all kinds of supporting documents that they want me to provide, but the reason will be that you want them to close your account. It seems that they just want to collect your IDs.

I tried it and it sucked....i tried to send money to my girlfriend gcash i filled out all the information hit send ..it said your transaction is on hold for more information and asked me to take a selfe but when i hit the option for selfie all i got was a blank white screen...that did nothing....i called their costumer service....and the representative ask me who was i sending to and asked how did i know her and how long did i know my filipina girlfriend and have i ever been to the Philippines? REMITLY has been promising me to refund the double charge when their system malfunction early this year. Remitly promised me to refund me after 15 days but it's been 10 months now but nothing happened. We contacted their Customer Service so many times but all they do is promise, yet nothing happened. It was only a small amount,, what more if it's a big amount. I will not trust REMITLY again until they fix this problem

Yeah, there are a lot of negative comments. But there are also those who say that the app works for them. At the end of the day, we make comparisons and choose what works for ourselves. In my case, Remitly, Xoom, and Transferwise are my top 3. Although, I still compare exchange rates and fees among the three because it can still vary. For USD (from the US) to a USD account in the Philippines, I have used Xoom.com in the past and had been satisfied although I feel that the fee is still a bit high. I hope you find what works for you.

Usually 2-6 business days if the funds are coming from a bank account. I'm more familiar with the process if the money comes from the US.

I'm planning to shift from Paypal to Remitly the reason is paypal have lower exchange rate though I assume when you chose the instant option in remitly they will charge you for that? also do you have to pay upfront when sending money? also there's a lot of review that they get their money of over 10 days onward more or less. Yeah, PayPal and Xoom's exchange rate are pretty bad. Sometimes, Remitly's is too. So, it's best to compare different services. Remitly usually charges a fee for express transfers. But if you use a US bank account, there is no fee. But you need to wait for 3-4 business days for the transaction to be completed. I'm not sure about the experience of those who say that it took 10 days but in my experience, Express (pay via debit card) service takes minutes to send to my Philippine bank account. If I use a bank account payment option, it takes about 4 business days. For PayPal, the recipient also needs to have a PayPal account, sending to friends and family is free, although they may charge some other fees, not sure. It's been a while since I used this service. Your recipient will then need to have a bank account connected to PayPal and from what I understand, there is also a fee for transferring money from PayPal to bank account.

In my experience, legit siya. I've been using it to transfer money to my BPI account in the Philippines. Some people elaborate on their experience. Pero kapag 'scam' lang ang inilagay, it's not helpful Kasi walang detailsml. :(

Baka hindi pa nila covered ang India. sadly. Check out other providers like WorldRemit or Western Union. I reviewed these companies, too.
