Very nice to practice English with you, Daniel, and also know about these news. I learn Next 14 and I like very much React Router, even after v6.4, but never wrote nothing with Remix. Maybe I could search for something about. And, hell yeah, we need more releases without so many breaking changes.

The company where I work has a rule that no use of new cool things until it is at least a year old. No upgrading to the latest. Always remain one version behind.

Penso igual a vc, como venho de anos usando Laravel e somente nos ultimos 5 migrei pra frontend, vejo que o pessoal está maluco. O Remix é mais complexo de entender em comparação ao Next, mas pra mim tem se tornado mais confiável devido aos mantenedores pensarem de forma mais conservadora nas coisas.

*I wanted to watch some people talking or using adonisjs and you were the 3rd search at youtube and honestly you did a great job by moving to english language. You speak it really well (but the way you prounance "built" is kinda funny to me hah) also you kinda shit on nextjs cuz its terrifying experience and you say it loudly and publicly. I had the same experience with next, never liked it since I saw it for the first time years ago, then i tried to use it and holy moly... so bad DX, but my friend was talking about remix, i tried it in different project and gadw... its so much better dx, productivity... theres some space for improvement yet, but its so much better and it keeps you close to vanillia js without any crazy abstraction like next does it or other tools. I also liked your person and the way of thinking in that adonisjs video and whats your "back" behind picking a tool, its like "normal approach" and should be "standard for developers" but still... i respect it and overall your personality seems cool to the point that I think I would enjoy working with you in a team, so I clicked sub cuz maybe you will become the first person I will start to watch "tech influ youtube" content again cuz I stopped a long time ago and dont watch tech yt content at all.* Much Love!

I'm confused about this. The Remix team having a pause on Remix development to transform it into React Router would mean that the Remix framework is dead?

@@JuanDeSouza7 you should read the complete announcement in the official remix website. They have plans to keep working on Remix, but the focus right now shifted to React Router

@@DanielBergholz ahh good. So I think the framework will keep moving on. That why OpenAI has just changed from Next.js to Remix. I'm in doubt because I was about to start studying Next.js, but reading so much stuff about Remix makes me wonder if it would be a better idea to go to Remix instead of Next.js

It means the Remix project has "remixed" itself to become a natural extension of React Router.

Next JS version update gonna break your application, it is a lie. We wrote an Application in next JS 12 and updated to next 13 and 14 and probably to 15. Without any major code changes. But yes we do made some changes to use new features which is optional. And only incremental adoption.
