Ok after giving it some thought here's what I came up with. The 4 glyphs must work on a standard 10 button keypad configuration 0-9 which makes 10. Now the glyphs at the beginning, when we start and before we put any glyphs in, we can take to mean 0 and from there the 5th glyph being a 5. Now the question comes does the it started 123 going up or 123 going down. Personally at 3:17 the first and last glyphs look like 8 but that's just me. I'm not sure if that helps but it just occurred to me. Hopefully this helps. I've been trying the last 3 days with the time skip, time zones and even wasting a day for the code to cycle round.

I did try to make a connection with symbols and numbers or hours or days but that should be repeated somehow, "for example same hour same day this code and the next day same hour it must be only one symbol different" i didn't find a repeat pattern. i still dont get th e puzzle, so every hour a new code is generated and you need to input the code from 1 hour prior right? so wouldnt it make sense to look at the code and wait 1 hour and put in the code you remembered?

That was one of the first things i did. I was going there 3 min before and was putting the next code. But as i said in the video i didn't have discover the little bug while i was doing that and i don't know if that mess things up. Technically what you say it's correct but it doesn't work, what i don't have try but i will, is to go there 5 min before the hour change, see the codes close the game and after 10 min go there and put the code in, if i do it this way the 4 symbol will have refresh.

I've tried a lot of different things, adjusting the time or disconnecting the network and adjusting the time such as change symbol quit game reset clock or change symbol quit game cut internet reset clock and so on, but it doesn't work. (PC version) Is it related to the time zone?

Well i haven't figure this out about the timezone yet bro. But you have to put the symbols that you see and then quit also steam or epic and change the hour one hour back and restart the game and go there. i just got this today ill keep it simple what i did i got there i put in the same code to match alt-tab so not closing down my game changed my time on my pc back 1 hour when up to it pressed e/enter bang door open got the bow took me less then 5mins then just changed me pc time back lol so take note i did enter the same code showed and enter it then backed off first

I'll say thanks for that, generally time manipulations require a warp crystal reload, but I did what you said ; Went to the code, copied the symbols, changes 1 hour back on psn settings, and without closing the game or warping I just resumed the game interacted with the terminal, changed the first glyph and the sequence visually changed right in front of my eyes. Took a little under 15 seconds to do after first interacting with the terminal, no extra walking required.

Yes in my system is working that way too when you change the time live without closing the game, but it doesn't work on all, so that's why i did put the extra step inside. Also it depends on how the game updates the time through the steam and epic or any other store. It's better to close it and reopen the store and the game to make shure that the time is correct.

You should see and try if having a companiong messes it up if they do the codes in your world you been the leader. Because i had my friend in my world, he did the codes. I changed the time. But its my world and changing the time, his time wasnt changed, it glitch rhe system i guess or a bug. N we couldnt figure it out. So i changed the time 2 hours ahead instead, and went back 1 hour ( 1 hour ahead of my original time ) n was able to get it. So i wonder if you must be alone in your world to do it. is it possible that it may glitch it if you have someone with you ( your the leader ) because of two different times on the consolse....

Time zones don’t seem to matter on ps5 if you have the zone set up correctly, checked this by messing with the system time for a few hours until I was finally able to get my code to work.

They are different for every character (even 2 characters from the same account have different codes) and timezones don't seem to matter. You either note down a code and use it the next day or roll back your clock.

@@bpfrosty4124 from what I've read around, the code DOESN'T change. The entire thing of the puzzle is that the code you need for the current hour is the code shown in the next hour. If the codes change everyday the there wouldn't be any way to open the door.

I think that this is meant to be solved via 4th wall break. The sigils being random every hour, but not for every player, seems to me like a seeded code that can’t be predicted until you do the math to actually reveal it. If it isn’t looping every 24 hours, then this would be the only way to get it. Frankly, I don’t see how that’s a problem. This game already has secrets meant to be found by data mining, including the actual goddamned backrooms, so it’s not like this curveball hasn’t been thrown before.

So to keep it simple it's the hour that you see. Try the first and if they don't work try messing up with the time zone. Btw one player from Germany on xbox confirm that the 1st is working😁

Waited until just after 9 to see what code I get, and it was indeed a different one from yours (in fact it's not featured in any of your suggested codes). So I went back 1 hour, typed it and it worked! Tho I really want to note that the last glyph on the right from 8-9pm and 9-10pm never changed despited resting and resetting. (Probably happen to be the same since it worked I'm not sure honestly)

The key seems to be to seeing how your actually pattern changes every hour. Referencing the chart from Reddit, my initial (top) pattern was 3084 before the hour change (10am-10:59am EST) and then switched to 2394 at 11am. Seeing how my pattern went up for some and down for another/stationary I followed that and tried 1604 and this did not work. So I tried switching the first tile to a “0” as I assumed that it must go down two instead of one and PRESTO!! 0604 was mine at 11am

@@WereUlv central standard time. I just did what you said, got to puzzle, matched the symbols, saved andnquit, went to options, i set to manual time set, backed the clock 1 hour and came back in. I just interacted with it with squear button and boom... bow was mine.

I must be fuckd because I already rerolled my shit. It didn’t work for me on ps5. CORRECTION!!! It did work the second time. I changed the time to one our forward so the puzzle symbols would change and they did. I entered them in on the second line,hit pause,went to system screen(in game), then I held the ps button to get to the ps5 system settings to change the time back one hour. I never restarted the game.

If you got rid of the fake typing and just showed captions and tightened up the script a little bit, this would be a lot better. The rest of this is great - the information is good, the effects are fun (I love the little spinning model). Captions are a solved problem. Do not reinvent them by making fake-typing that forces viewers to wait as the text slowly types itself out - just show the text. I don't want to sit here twiddling my thumbs between the last text fading and the next text typing in. And I get that the fake typing sounds are an aesthetic, but a lot of viewers are going to find them really annoying, especially while waiting for the text to type out. At the very least speed it way up and maybe turn the typing sounds down - but really...do not reinvent captions. The script could also do with a quick edit pass. It is a little bit crazy that in a text-based guide, you are doing the whole "with that out of the way..." youtube timewasting thing. The Wadsworth Constant should not apply to a pre-written, rendered text-based guide!

I read it all and i heard you i will see what changes i can make on what you say, but let me tell you what i think on this and why i did it this way. First this is not a real guide like on my other videos, it was more what i had found and what i want to say about them (for a more step by step guide you can see the Anguish video) . I did try making some videos without the typing sounds and they didn't work. I noticed that when you following a guide playing and watching the guide on the side, it's more confusing if someone is talking in that video than reading the steps but when the captions change they need some kind of alert to let the viewer know that something is new, and there is i think that this souns is good for. I'm also trying to show the step that the player has to do all the time in the screen with captions and changing it a few seconds before the viewer needs to do something else. For the time that i leave between the captions on when I'm talking, is the average time that a viewer can read it without struggling or have to pause or go back the video. Some might be really fast readers and they will get bored i know but I'm trying to find the sweet spot. I suppose i can make the typing sounds faster and lower the volume also i will try to make the scripts shorter. I'm new to all this and i don't have really find my style yet, but I'm trying to make it work and like it at the same time. Sorry for the late response.

​@@WereUlv Consider that the slower printing/typing speed actually makes it HARDER for slower readers. People don't read one letter at a time - they read whole words (actually often more than whole words, and they also look back at earlier words all the time). I am actually a pretty slow reader - significantly below average speed! Printing it out slowly like that means I get less time to read each word than if you had just put it all up on the screen at once, then left it there for the same amount of time. It's both irritatingly slow AND makes it harder for me to keep up because I get less time with the whole sentence. Imagine you start the typing at time 0, and it gets halfway through the sentence at time 5, and you move to the next caption at time 10. That means half the sentence was only on the screen for 5 seconds. You've given me less time with it! And the last few words get even less! If you just put all of the words on the screen at once, and kept everything else the same, I would have 10 seconds to read it. When trying to accommodate slower readers, what matters is how long the words are on the screen, not how long they take to fill in.

@@WereUlv The fact that the simulated typing lets you know about how long you have to read it is kind of nice too. Not a bad idea to keep some kind of indicator for that - some kind of little clock, progress bar, progress wheel, progressive underlining, or something more aesthetic.

This game is so freaking dumb. Why are so many secrets tied to having to literally cheat??!! Like we can get 20 plus items by stuffibg it all into a web but to get a bow we have to chnage time zones which isnt even working no matter what i do. Not 7 bro at 8 you need to put the code in. For keeping it simple i did write only the hour you have to be playing and putting the code in, just wait for tomorrow's keys and try again the hour I'm writing in the video. Between 11:00 - 12:00 am or between 08:00 - 09:00 pm.

In which country are you bro? Also try one more time tomorrow if you can, but do as i say because if you put the code sooner it might not work. So go there some hours before and reset the code if you can, if you don't remeber the symbols you can look at them in my video. It might reset on their own but just in case. And with the reseted code choose an hour and log in that hour. Go there put the codes that i have and press the button. If that doesn't work something else is going on.

Brother i will love to get back to this but at the moment i don't have any more ideas, said them all in the video. I need a couple of more days fot the codes that i have put in to see if they actually work (btw already one player from Germany on Xbox confirm that the Monday morning code is working 😁) and i need the time because this thing took it all and need to catch up with the rest of the dlc. But when i do that if we don't have a solution i will contact you here and give you my discord and work it together. 👍
