If you want a melee build that combines Misty Step with Sealed Resin Loop, try this Misty Melee DoT build. It's probably the most fun build to play (at least to me) out of everything I've experimented with from this DLC. I haven't revisited a tank Sacrifice Summoner and truly optimized it (mostly because I find facetank builds mind-numbing to play), but I've shown a way to play it using Firestorm that works well enough here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/pXnHgKd8m7t4Y9k. === Full list of Sealed Resin Loop interactions === - Animation cancel your dodge to dodge again faster (works with Misty Step), which lets you move incredibly quickly. - Slightly improve melee DPS for weapons that rely on neutral evade charge attacks by cancelling them right after they hit to skip any ending lag. This relies on you having the timing down and is more of a novelty. It's not really practical in actual fights, since you can also cancel too early and lose damage from an attack if you mess up, so don't use Sealed Resin Loop purely because you think it'll improve your DPS. This is a QoL and utility item. - Cancel out of ending lag of mods that make you do the backstep thing, namely Star Shot's Big Bang and Concussive Shot. This is very niche and is more just something interesting to know because it's never worth giving up a ring slot just to be able to dodge out of the backstep animation; you should just be a tiny bit more patient and play better around boss attacks. - Cancel out of casting skills (this is really what you're here for). All skills are listed out individually below. Would you happen to know what the fastest way of traveling? For example building movement speed, rolling + evade speed, or this new misty step cancel? The speed running community has been using the evade build since the beginning but it takes using light rolls with fitness, deceiver's band, frivolous band, haste (anatasija's inspiration), bisected ring, dark fluid, and ambit ember. So it only really used in survivor and veterans run since it is so limited.

Creator did a movement video awhile back. Evade is still the fastest.

Will most likely be fixed since it’s supposed to only be melee attacks.

If it gets removed then so be it, but I don't see why the skill cancelling needs to be removed when it's not problematic and just makes some builds feel more fluid to play at the cost of a ring slot. There are so many things that need fixing before this, like Nebula's mod DoT dealing over 4x too much damage, having its tick damage affected by status duration, and the mod itself counting as ranged damage (this really needs to get fixed considering how popular this weapon is). Sealed Resin Loop is interesting and fun, not overpowered or game-breaking in any way.

I feel like that could be a complicated thing to fix too. They should just update what the ring does because with it just being melee that would make this rings super niche almost to much.

@@Dainurian all that doesn’t matter if it’s unintended. Just have to wait and see. Doesn’t matter to me since I don’t use the ring. Needing to cancel out of casting a skill/mod is very situational. Summoner sacrifice build is only one worth using for but not many run that.
