@@BeastiezCyZ You can do it with KZbin by simply creating a listener pointed at the URL of a youtube channel. Then uploading a video with the command name would provide basic functionality. A more detectable but responsive option would force the target to subscribe to a an attacker's channel and then execute the commands through a shell parsing a RSS feed. At that point you can push commands instead of waiting on a refresh interval.

It was playing sounds in the background and when I looked to see what processes were running there was a c.exe that created itself in system32. Then it started to create others like b.exe and a.exe, next thing I knew my task manager was disabled and I couldn’t do anything about it. Antiviruses we’re not able to run and one day it BSODed and I tried to boot it up again and it began making loud clicking noises followed by a screech internally in some of the components.

It's just a standard RAT so that's how you would get infected with it. This video at least at a first glance seems to imply that it's a problem with discord but this can be done with anything. It's probably more annoying to do it with discord but I think it's more of a PoC kind of thing.

To clarify, this isn't an exploit in Discord and as long as you're not downloading files from unknown sources, you're fine. This is showcasing a RAT that can be controlled by sending commands to a bot through discord DMs rather than a CLI or GUI. Attackers can't RAT other users with Discord alone. The user would have to download and run the RAT file first (possibly disguised as a harmless file).

Also Question: in this video, there were some protections against vms in the code, some of this code can also be altered to check if the machine is actually running on a vm or a real machine, According to that the RAT may change functionality and may appear innocent in the vm but become a bad actor in the real machine. What can we do so that our VM doesnt get detected at all and look like a real machine, can we fix up an ISO file with something like vmware and then RDP into the machine? and would the virus be able to see if we have an RDP into the machine by check all the processes running . What is the fix for something like this?

It's a typical RAT and only a problem if you download untrusted files since it needs software to be installed on the user's system by the user. Realistically you would only ever have this malware installed on your system if say a mod for a game you play had it under the hood and there was some vulnerability within the game's sandboxing process for mods where the malware could install itself quietly in the background. If you want to be extra safe with mods, scan them on VT and run them under a VM with no information you want being sent to a bad actor on it (you may want to make specific changes to your VM as there are ways to detect them).

​@Xylon6301 Oof im going to risk falling for bait and actually help you out. If your pc is infected, especially with a RAT 1- Unplug it. Even an off but plugged in pc can allow some access, depending on the malware. You do no want this malware to be able to pivot within the network. 2- You need to get a new copy of Windows from the official site. DO NOT use the infected computer for this. Look up online how to do a fresh install of windows. NOT a repair. A completely new install. 3- Assume that EVERY password and email that you use is now known to the hacker. You have to change everything. Never use any of those passwords again. If you had payment information saved into your browser history, get those cards canceled and replaced ASAP.
