My son kayak fishes the Columbia river here in Washington st. USA. 34 miles from ocean & some other places, he also fishes in kayak black bass tournaments. There is a fish in that river called PikeMinnow. A terrible predator of salmon and steelhead (sea going rainbow trout). Oregon & Wash. pays people to catch them and turn them in at check stations as far up as Pasco on the the Columbia.

The yellowtail is what we know as Kingfish here in New Zealand... one of the hardest fighting sport fish here. Beautiful for sashimi
