Hi guys some good advice here we’ll done, a couple of things we do that could help! We have plastic containers in our fridge, and all our bottles/jars with lids go in there, spilts then are an easy clean! All ours pipes are covered with pool noodles, and we have never had any damage. I fitted a large mud flap right across the front of the van that stops a huge amount of damage under the van, also use a stone stomper they are awesome! I removed every screw in the cupboard hinges and drawers and put liquid Nails in them re screwed them never had a screw fall out! We did the Gibb 2 years back without any issues, hope some of this helps, cheers Pete & Jane

I use stubby holders to store glass items in the fridge as well as puting them into baskets. If any spills or leaks occur it's contained. I also try to get rid of any packaging. It's amazing how much room it takes up. Vacuum sealers are a great way to save space as well.

Thanks for another great video. To save time for spills, leaks, breakages and maintain an organised fridge, I pack my fridge contents into different sized clear containers, no lids and some have handles. Thus all cheeses together, meat together, sauces, dips etc oh and chocolate together so husband can find easily 😂 and any mess stays in container. Anything on the corrugated I pop into the crisper just in case.

Great video! In regards to tyres. If your spare wheel/tyre matches whats on the vehicle or van, rotate them in when you get the tyres/wheels rotated. I like to get mine rotated, balanced, and wheel alignment every 10,000km. Saves having a new expensive tyre sitting there going to waste.

Hi Guys, A great informative video, but one thing that we always do before setting off after each camp is sit down and read through our check list to make sure everyhing is safe for travel, it took a while to do this check list but well worth it, even for the little things like locking fridge, ariel down, gas bottles off, folding step in. We have about 20 items. Now with your tips we can add more!!. Looking forward to hearing all about your Gib Road trip. Cheers Gavin and Judy

Thanks guys for another great video. Regarding the airbags. I run poly air on both my landcruiser and my new 2023 next generation Ford Ranger. Onboard air on both. They have a requirement to have a minimum amount of air in them no matter what your driving on. Ranger is 5psi, cruiser is 12psi. Lower than that will damage your air bags. Also I recommend the pool noodles around your van piping. Works for us. Where’s Bob 😂.

In regard to food in jars , we don’t put glass jars in the fridge . Any foods eg , olives etc I transfer into the plastic Sistema containers (or similar ) with insert baskets for easy access which also cuts down on weight on fridge shelves . Glass bottles of spirits , cooking oil or other such items travel at floor level under the sink wrapped in not slip shelf liner with an elastic band to keep it in place . Also we use small baskets for cheeses , or like products and with glass shelves in our fridge we put non slip liners on each shelf . And any small glass jars eg jams , pickles can fit in stubbie coolers for non rubbing . Hope this helps .

Having "plastic taps/elbows" on your water tanks, etc should be viewed as "sacrificial components" as opposed to Brass components......if Rock Damage is the cause of these components breaking, it is far better to break a plastic fitting from rock strike than a Brass fitting taking the impact and rather than "breaking off" the Brass fitting tearing out the threaded plug in the tank or causing a much more serious issue like splitting or cracking the area around the Brass fitting.....
