Drain watching made me smile. Shredders a great invention. congrats on 1K. I hang my clothes inside as don't trust the neighbors lately. If that house ever empties out, I have a small line on the porch, can hold about one set of sheets or just regular clothes. I could put out the folding wooden dryer thingee. Fresh air drying is the best. I saw a new strange nonfriendly cat next door with no tail at all. I did a double take, it was a cat though.

It's the small things! Ha ha ha! I do too much indoor drying. I was using the electric dryer almost exclusively as I wanted to reduce interior damp and potential mould, but then there was the electricity bill... Sorry to hear about you neighbours. Mine are not interested in my clothes, though there used to be a cat in the neighbourhood who used to steal clothes!!! Also slippers were a passion of his - he'd somehow get into the house, sneak back out with one and then play with it up on the lawn and it would end up all torn and covered in mud and cat-spit. Ew!

The one thing about shredders is as you go along you get more and more tempted to put in more and more sheets at a time amd it ends up jamming or overheating. The key is patience and discipline. :)

Congrats, 1,000 subs amazing, we are so behind you by two years. Our experience with movers, we have used two and on both occasions we have lost one or two boxes, (stolen?), we have moved ourselves i.e. van rental about eight times and it's hard but you never remember really bit like child birth memory dulls the pain. Our shredder similar to yours over heats after about 10 sheets. Geography for Izzy, how about studying where your KZbin followers come from, maybe not the curriculum but might be interesting for her.

I've been thinking for a while I'd love to get a world map and put it up on the wall with a little sticker for each of our subscribers that we know about who comment a lot. I'm still a bit vague about where places are in America, as it's so fast and I've never been. Keep going with your channel - that's the key. Slow growth is good growth... I remember being stuck on 12 subscribers for what seemed like forever....

So frustrating waiting around for service/trades people turn up and then they never show 😡. We’re a bit different though in that, we will chase them to still try get the quote to use for comparison, but like you, we’d never actually choose them to work with after already proving themselves unreliable. Good to hear the second guy turned up though 😊. Obviously you’ve since past the 1000 subs, a huge congrats! Well done 😉👍

Our daughter didn’t use a removal man, they hired a van and their friends all helped too. Good luck with the move. Our drain gets splashed around because water down the angled pipe bounces off the metalwork. Christie’s been drying on the outside lines as well. Raining again now! My shredder takes a maximum of 5 sheets. How cool that you’re so close to 1K, best of luck with that and the ensuing monetisation possibility!! I get one per day MAX, then it’ll be stagnant for several days or two will drop off (I keep blaming KZbin).

The book about the history of the English language seems interesting, might wanna pick that up one of these days and read it on a flight or something. I hope it has at least a few good bits about the english spoken in America, I know Brits don't think much of how Americans speak english - I'm reminded of a line about it from the musical "My Fair Lady" in a song called "Why can't the English learn to speak?"- the line goes "In America they haven't spoken it for years!" LOL

I read Melvin Bragg's Adventure of English many years ago. Somewhere or other, it may have been that book, I heard that the American form of English is pure and truer to the original English spoken pre-colonisation of America, as it was more isolated from the influences of the neighbouring European languages that we have here. But who knows! LOADS of British kids now automatically use American parlance as a matter of default - presumably because of all the exposure to it on KZbin and other media. Even speaking in a sort of watered down American accent. Izzy does it sometimes.

Yeah, I've had to get the draining rod and plunge it, not a nice job, so I always get paranoid now :) Safeway - I haven't seen that name for ages. Removal - If they are unprofessional enough not to be organised with their own business, then imagine their attitude with your possessions Regarding the science and geography - what is she interested in (is there anyway to meld her interests with what she is learning at the moment)

She loves history so I have been thinking about just doing the history of scientific discovery and invention. The problem I have now is that we need to stick to the curriculum for her to have the option of doing the GCSEs. It’s rather restrictive...

Thanks! I believe the bots come off automatically every so often. YT does a purge from time to time. There was one happened a few months back - it was announced on the creator dashboard - and I noticed, by looking at the channalytics of many big channels, that they must have lost a lot, as they had a big subscriber deficit showing for that day.

Lol! Not driving has put a spanner in that works and there's only so much lifting I can do. I figured the only way I can do it 'myself' is asking friends to help... and I didn't think that was very fair or reasonable and so I was uncomfortable with the idea, hence have decided to just pay someone.
