Mine are plastic nock factory glued into aluminum. May give this a try. If this doesn't work, may heat the aluminum shaft with lighter and see if I can get it out. Want to install lighted nocks so thanks for posting. Not really concerned if I destroy the old nock getting it out, as long as it doesn't leave pieces of plastic inside the shaft. Aluminum will crack too, so gotta be careful.

Worked great for my carbon arrows with plastic nocks. Put them boiling water for 15 seconds. Thanks 👍

Seeing as it is aluminum why not freeze it and then pull it out I used to shrink 4140 shafts to stuff cast rotor bodys

do you have a pencil style soldering pen or wood burning tool?? cut the head off the screw, screw it into the wood burner or soldering gun let it get hot screw it into the nock and it will pull out in about 15 seconds if that long and not possibility of screwing up the fletching glue by dipping it in hot water. I saw it on Yee Haw 27 channel it works real well.

I cut the arrow almost down to the vanes to clear the nock insert then installed lighted knock, tried it with a 100 grain field point and shot deadnuts in bullseye at 20 yards.... If weight is an issue? I'm using 150 grain Excalibur bolt cutters anyways thanks for posting!)

A buddy at work said a heat gun might work. Wondering if anyone has tried it?? It makes sense because hockey sticks work very similar with removing stick blades and replaceing.

Update. Later on, I noticed two of the 3 arrows were cracking at the end. So I would not recommend using heat gun.

Just screw in a practice tip and then torch just the tip of the practice tip get it hot and the heat transfers to the glue then pull it out using pliers
