Remove 2009-2014 F150 center console stereo

Quick step by step removal instructions for 2009-2014 F150 with front bench seat. This requires the easy removal of the passenger airbag. Please use extreme caution while performing this task.

I too had watched a few other KZbin videos, and yours is the only one that shows how to deal with the upper left 7mm. I removed mine to replace the mix damper actuator and this vid showed me how to access the area in needed to get to. Saved $600.00 by buying the 35 dollar part at AutoZone and doing it myself. Took about 45 min. The dealership said the whole dash had to be removed and that it would take 4 hours of labor. Thank you KZbin and thank you Simon!

Hey I recall the 3 that come out from the passenger side airbag being bigger thab the standard trim screws but you didnt mention the size. Need to find replacements as my gf moved them into storage somewhere when i let her borrow my truck.

As this is the same dash as mine, and the same looking space behind the glove box, where is the cabin air filter? The videos I've seen on youtube all have different dashes and placements of the filter. None match mine and yours.

I'm not exactly sure where the cabin air filter is. I think our dash is this way because of the full front bench, which is a little rare.

You need to take the airbag out to get the cover off without damaging it. Disconnect your battery for 30 minutes before removing the airbag.

If you want to take just the cover off without removing the airbag you'll have to pry really hard, which will pretty much destroy the cover. Once the airbag is off, it's pretty simple to remove the cover without damage.

If you follow these directions, you will have the airbag removed except unplugging the wire. Once it's unbolted, just unplug the airbag to remove it.

So how do you get the driver side panel all the way off? I want to paint those two panels and need them out of the truck completely...

Anyone know if there's a blend door actuator under the top of the entire dash? I replaced the one behind the stereo but I still have that loud annoying clicking noise under the dash back behind my vent. 2013 F150 5.0.

@@freestylette Fixed mine earlier today. Found another video on here of a 2012 Lariot and he swapped out his "mode" actuator which is underneath next to the gas pedal. $36 at AutoZone and fixed mine. Upside down the entire time replacing it but gotter done. Has pedal has to be removed by 3 bolts, leave the wiring harness on it and it'll just hang down outta the way. Same install as this one behind the stereo. Pulled #46 fuse below my glovebox for 60 secs, put it back in and turned key on and you can hear all the actuators calibrate together. Done deal.

+Kalli Babeshot It's unusual to purchase the covers without the airbag. It's possible that someone makes aftermarket covers, but I'm not aware of any.

Oh. The cover you mean. Yeah, it comes off really easy once you get the airbag out. You might even be able to do it with your hands.

Simon Kirschman yes I did release the bolts but I didn't realize there were clips that have to be released at the top. is the cover designed to come completely off or does the entire airbag have to come out? Thanks for the reply by the way...

Ronson Charles After the lower bolts are out, just gently pry the bottom of the front up, and it will come right out.

He’s referring to the center controls as a console not the shifter console that you’re referring to…title can b confusing.
