I have the same type and do the same method you showed. Unfortunately mine was so rusty and it broke the bracket and the whole thing came off. That is ok as I’m going to have a different stopper anyway. Thanks for the vid.

My stopper just spins and spins whether it’s counter clockwise Or clockwise I’m going to go get a pliers, but I’m not sure that will do anything since I need to get leverage somehow on a spinning thing

But was it easy to put back in a few cuz I am at an elderly neighbor's house and she wants me to do this so we can unclog it as she cannot afford a plumber and I am having trouble unscrewing it by hand and I looked at all the videos... I'm willing to try it the way you did it if you can say it was easy to put back in

At the point of watching this video i have already watched 100 others...none helped...girl said you just need some plyers sometimes. Me frustrated was so angry like ive been using plyers and trying every technique. I took my plyers one last time and ripped it out...not sure if i broke it but she was right
