Remove Cartflows /step/ from Funnel URL

It's super easy to remove the /step/ from the URL slug in a Cartflows Funnel Step... but it's not straightforward and I don't know why.
Fortunately you have this quick tutorial to demonstrate how to make it happen.
STEP 1: Log in to Wordpress
STEP 2: Go to Cartflows Settings
STEP 3: Click the Global Settings
STEP 4: Select Permalinks from the settings
STEP 5: In the section Post Type Permalink Base
- Update Step Base to cartflows_step
- Update Funnel Base to cartflows_flow
STEP 6: Click Save Settings
STEP 7: Refresh your page
As long as your Wordpress site permalinks are set to Post Name this will ensure that the /step/ is removed from the URL slug and defaults straight to the page URL.

Sorry to hear this. That should not be the case. I have performed this action dozens of times in the last 12 months and haven't lost any data. While it's possible there could be a configuration unique to your site that would cause an error. Because this is unexpected behavior I would recommend a few things... 1) undo what you did to see if your content reappears. 2) make sure you have your site permalinks configured correctly 3) proceed to do the steps outlined again, this time, double check you have everything correct and exact 4) save your settings 5) clear your site cache (and possibly your server cache) 6) try accessing at the URL without the slug 7) if it still doesn't work, contact CartFlows. Again, the behavior you experienced should not be the case and I've never had that happen to me. All my best!
