Aren't we using no extra space .since we are modifying the input array i .e in-place itself as question asks.the code would work fine with O(n) time complexity .correct me if i am wrong

From the question, I can see that we should not use another array that very much increases the space complexity and it defeats the whole purpose of two pointer concept
