If you do and get stuck you can always fire me a message on socials and I’l try help out the best I can. I would strongly advise though, strong boys are not very suitable if your opening is going to be any wider than this. I’d go for a needle option. Same preparations to a strong boy but the needle goes through instead and sits onto acrows on both sides of the wall 👍 Really appreciate the feedback mate, thank you 👊❤️

I could try to get one together on our next job like this 🙂 in short though, you’d speak with your local council to let them know your intentions. They may want steel work calculations drawn up by an structural engineer and also oversee the project inspecting the work once the padstone’s are in place pre plastering. Hope that helps 🙂

Great video, i think i can tackle mine myself, what about building regs and all that though did you need to get it all calculated first my a structural engineer then have building regs manege it/check it?

As the bricks are going straight to a skip, why bother with removing the plaster? It caused a lot of dust and health risks in case it had any asbestos contents!

Good question mate, its because we use a grab wagon to remove the hardcore & they cant take plaster
