Hi Tobi. Nice tutorial! Do you think the same results are possible in Hitfilm Pro or in Fusion 9? BTW... Since you are also familiar with Hitfilm... Why not making a comparison getting the same results with 2 different softwares? 🙂
@SurfacedStudio6 жыл бұрын
Hi Manolo, thank you for the suggestion :) Yes you can do the exact same thing in HitFilm Pro (and potentially in Fusion). Mocha, Sapphire and BCC are work with OFX compatible hosts and HitFilm Pro does support them. The workflow would be very much the same so I am not sure whether there'd be much value in re-doing the tutorial for a different software :)
@Hunselmann6 жыл бұрын
In this case I agree :) But maybe for some future tutorials without 3rd party plug-ins it would be interesting to see if Hitfilm can produce the same high quality results as After Effects. Thanks for your response and keep up the good work.

Just found your channel while researching video software. Great channel! I am sad that After Effects and Premier Pro are not like Lightroom.. $150-$200, some discs .. and that is all. I do not not understand why it is monthly and so expensive :(
@SurfacedStudio6 жыл бұрын
Lightroom is on the same subscription models as all other Adobe products (unless you still have an old version). To most people, subscription based makes more sense and that's what I'm on. If you're looking for a cheaper alternative, why not try HitFilm? The Express version doesn't cost a thing! kzbin.info/www/bejne/j2GUi3iqat2gqa8 Reply ·
@Bunjamin276 жыл бұрын
@Surf - I bought LR6.0 discs about 8mo ago as a stand-alone product. Right now I'm using LR6.14 and Google says they're on 6.14. So, that seems as if it's the current version? If Lightroom is on subscription-only model as you claim, then I've never paid and have been getting free updates?: www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00VWCKJVA/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 So now they want people to pay $10/mo to use Lightroom Classic CC, which the only difference is that it's very slightly faster? Why would anyone pay $120/yr when the full program costs $150? The only difference I've heard is that LR Classic CC is a marginally faster - is that worth an extra $10/mo? I obviously will not be using their cloud services. But I'm asking about After Effects, not Lightroom. ..Do they have a standalone version of After Effects as well? Similar to the Lightroom link I gave you, Or do they *only* offer a subscription? I'm guessing only subscription, because they get MUCH more money from you. I travel a lot and don't always have internet, so I *need* to have the program on my computer. If I can't connect to the internet, it cannot validate my subscription - so that means I cannot use the program. And what if it expires while I'm out on an assignment - does that mean I cannot use the program, even though it is on my computer? Buy a year at one time? Oi. That is crazy not to have a stand alone? I'd like to stay in the Adobe ecosystem, but they seem to want to make it $150/yr rather than $150 and it comes with updates. That is sad.
@SurfacedStudio6 жыл бұрын
Didn't know they were still selling single licenses. I'm on the Creative Cloud and get all updates as part of my subscription - www.adobe.com/au/products/photoshop-lightroom-classic/features.html
@Bunjamin276 жыл бұрын
@Surf - Why wouldn't they? It's much simpler for their users and for them. No cloud to manage and no subscription service to manage. Both of those require a lot of work. Right now I'm using LR6.14 and Google says they're on 6.14. So, are you saying that is not the current version? So now they want people to pay $10/mo to use Lightroom Classic CC, which the only difference is that it's very slightly faster? Why would anyone pay $120/yr when the full program costs $150? The only difference I've heard is that LR Classic CC is a marginally faster - is that worth an extra $10/mo? So, I'm still trying to understand how I can get After Effects, but not be involved in their bullshit subscription service lol I have Lightroom with no subscription and get updates because I bought it - I'd like that with After Effects and I've been trying to figure out/ask you if that exists or not lol See what I mean? They have made this very confusing and stupid! Just let users buy the program and be done with it lol :)
