When I plugged the ribbon wires back in and put the printhead back, it just pretends to print. No ink is coming out now. Any idea what I did wrong?

Can you tell what could cause half of nozzle to just be intermediate sometimes clean after a print run nozzle check the left side is gone the right side never miss a nozzle please if you can help I would appreciate it am a customer at your store

This is the falt of wiper.because when you perform the cleaning then first of all wiper is placed the left side nozzels.please change the felt and wiper

Rule of thump if you want to DIY. . Change cap top, wiper, felt, dampers then it is pretty much printhead.

someone in the comments (another video) mentioned that you can't replace the head yourself because it requires a tech to calibrate it. how hard is it to do?

You can replace it just you can’t calibrate it.

The new printhead has a number series that must be entered for the printer to print correctly. The number series is entered through a service utility program given to qualified technicians. The number is printed on the side of the head and usually printed on a sticker on the box containing the head. If you have the service utility and the ability to get a service code to use it, there is no need to call anyone to set the calibration.

You can change the print head but you can't calibrate it without a code from a Roland dealer.

So if i will change printhead myself i need to contact Roland to coding printhead? Will not work correctly if will be not calibrated? Thank you for answers

First of all, you only remove the left front and right rear 2.5mm screws at the printhead base. anything other than that and the alignment is changed. Calling this "remove printhead" will certainly generate some business for the repair companies such as yourself.
