My radio is fine but I have a more serious issue: bunch of ECUs not communicating and 2 of them (meter nd power steering...) are in thre vicinity of the radio. I guess I should thank you for this video. I had to do a new head unit come to find out it was the bose amp in the rear. So had to remove and install the old head unit and then the amp which was the worst to do without removing the rear seat. Anyways thank you for the vids on m45. Still learning with mine. Cheers

By any chance do you think it’s possible to replace the plastic that is on the dash/glove compartment etc , I’m planning on changing the brown to the Grey but I don’t have any clue on how I would change all of it to the same color

Please name each connector coming from the cd changer component. Im thinking of installing a double din ,but i need to know the importance of each harness n are all needed. You should make a video of how to install a double din in the 06 and up M45/35 series

I love how much much knowledge you have of the M45 and I enjoying learning from your videos but you need a good stand for the camera or one of the motion balancing devices you can use with one hand because I start getting nauseous after 10 minutes. +Jonathan Rodriguez I see what you're saying. Had to ask someone else and apparently I have a strong stomach or really bad eyes, because it looked OK to me, not my friend, haha. I appreciate this feedback. Sometimes I wondered why some of my videos got dislikes, and without a comment I had no idea what needed to be improved. At this point, most people are doing it as a custom job. Modify and paint the CD changer plate and install the head unit there. You have to remember to keep the A/C & unified amplifier which is a major brain for things around the dash.

Hey love the videos!! jw if you have any idea why my car radio isn’t working it’s stuck on the “audio off “. I’ve repaired the wires in the rear armrest last time I had this problem it was the wiring underneath the rear arm rear tried wiggling the wire and raised and lowered the arm rear nothing I checked fuses and there good. I did a self diagnosed on the system and it’s not the speakers

It's possible that the repair you made on the resr armrest failed and needs to be redone. I would check there first

This is great man! I've been dying to add bluetooth music ability to my 2007 M45. Lately I've been using one of those FM to Bluetooth gadgets, but it gets in the way a bit. Have you been able to add stereo bluetooth, or have any ideas of how I can? Thanks again

There is a bluetooth mod that hookup in the trunk you can get. Did it on mines.... works AMAZING. Google USA Spec Bt45-infi.

Do you think its possible to change the backlighting to blue... I've changed the interior lights over to blue looks dope. But now that I have this amber is driving me crazy. I've seen people change the clocks to LED blue.

I believe so. I read that it requires desoldering LED or SMDs on the panel. It is something I saw in passing on nicoclub

Hi Ed I know you did this awhile ago. However, do you know what is the defect in the head unit itself? Mines trips in and out at times....it works then other times just stop working.....and is there a fix or repair for it?

Mine didn't exactly have an issue, I was just tearing the car down. I don't know exactly what happens inside them, but I know they are fixable. You typically see them being repaired when the vehicles are newer. At this age, I would just buy a good used one and replace it

Yes, very possibly. See the beginning of this video. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oaHShGRrgd-GiZI If your armrest is down, raise it back up and maybe wiggle the wires on the back side of the armrest to make the audio come back on. I had to repair the wires for a permanent fix though.

Hey do you know if there is a difference between the 2007 m35 and 2006 m35 radio?

The 06 and 07 headunit is the same, but the big difference is base model versus technology package. If you are buying a used system, make sure the replacement unit comes from a car with the same features

Hey, me too. For long road trips sometimes you have to. Clarify this for me, you have a 2006 or 2007 Infiniti M and that CD faceplate doesn't say MP3 on a little silver square? Either way, all of them should have had MP3 capabilities as standard. One way to make the MP3s is doing it as data discs. Then pop them into the very same slots in that CD player.

@@johnvencak573 sorry, I'm not too certain on the details. My guess will be no, and that youd have to convert the wires to RCA. I know for sure there are RCA inputs behind my center console, but that wouldn't help your cause

They dont make aftermarket bezels for the M's.... you would have to have someone fabricate something.

Question bro. Do you know where the transmission control .module is located in the M35? I am trying to get to it. My M35 womt start after a local shop cross jumped it. It has been a veggie for awhile but im trying to get it back to normal.

The TCM is inside the transmission. It is attached to the top of the valvebody

@@EdBwoy i figured. Thank you. Im done if my problem resides in the valve body but your video helped a lot. Im currently in my M and in 15mn I had all those stuff taken apart. Only left are the ABS in the hood, RAS in the trunk and PCM under the passenger dash then connect my consult to see if I can make a progress.

@@EdBwoy it was cross jumped with the previous owner. I found that wierd also that they did not hold the mechanic liable for it but I think the souvenir of my previously sold M got me emotional and ready for this M ha. May be they sold me a lie but i already got it and im using "justanswer.com" to have some insight about dignosing it. Things become clear and clear no matter what really happens. The problem seems to lie in the communication lines and the modules themselves may be fine. My consult 3 confirms open of the CAN L on the DLC branch line. I have some testing to do. This is an electrical training for me I guess.

If yours is the Bose system, then the amp is in the trunk area. You have to remove the trunk trim to get to it because it's mounted on the bottom of the rear parcel shelf
