Loved this. I went through a friendship breakup at the beginning of 2023 and everything you said was spot on. I wanna add another point that kind of goes with everything mentioned in the video. A lot of times in toxic friendships there’s some form of emotional manipulation. So like the “not that you care but…” or them trying to make you feel bad for something THEY DID.

@@fionagallagherapologist5968 tbh i was just extremely emotionally drained so even tho it did hurt a bit at first i was more relieved than anything. A friendship should not drain you. I don’t really know how to explain it, but after everything was said and done i felt a huge weight of my shoulders. I don’t know what type of friendship you’re dealing with, but in this particular situation i feel like it was easier to get over because i knew the exact type of person i was dealing with, and I wasn’t gonna let them try and manipulate me anymore. Ik not everyone likes confrontation, but it is necessary sometimes. The best advice i can give you is to talk to them about it, no need to be mean, but let them know they can’t walk all over you anymore. From there, it’s on them not you. I hope this helps🫶🏾

Ahh. I felt this so much. I removed myself from a friend group at the very end of 2023. It hurt a lot because I've never done anything like that, and truth be told they were not rude or ill-intended people... however, the relationship was so stagnant & it energetically made me feel like I was moving w/ dead weight. I always found myself reverting back to an older version of myself when I was around them. I stuck around long enough before I realized we were out of alignment. Butttt, what truly made me stand on business was hearing them ask about my book sales & I told them I had their copies in the car (bc they had previously mentioned they were going to order it but never did) and the entire energy shifted to another conversation. I knew then, it was time to dip. Can't have monitoring energy around my creative visions. Much love to you sis for sharing your perspectives!

I love everything you said but one more point to add yall. IT IS OK IF YOU ARE A FEW OF THESE THINGS!!! I am an insecure person myself (working on it). Nobody is perfect and it is not expected to be perfect either!! Changing those things about yourself and hearing out your friends about how they feel is what’s more important than anything else. No friendship is sunshine and rainbows 100% of the time.

i went through a friendship breakup like two years ago and something i want to add is that sometimes it’s okay to grow out of a friendship with a person you’ve known for almost your whole life especially if that friendship was toxic as hell!! Trust me I know!! That friendship breakup almost broke me but it will get better!! After that breakup i’ve also realized how toxic that friendship was and how thankful i am that it ended.

Before I seen this video I was just talking about this in my house to myself. Confirmation. I had a friend I just didn’t feel safe. She was jealous of me. I was scared to go to sleep with her in my crib I knew I was done after that. I straight up told her about herself, we ain’t talk since and I don’t care at all I felt like weight was lifted.

I'm so happy I ended up watching this video (Hiiiii) I just felt like I was losing my mind because I've just been feeling so agitated with myself for being annoyed at the state of things around me (at the same time I must show gratitude! i'm better than I was yesterday). I've had this urge to GET UP and go after what I want for a year but I do not think I can bring those around me with me, nor do I feel the desire to show this side of myself to them. Especially if they're just gonna make me feel weird for trying. The time for only watching others accomplish their goals and their desires are over, you should feel as if you deserve a chance without being weighed by unnecessary doubts from those that claim they care about you.

Look for anything girl!!! Been looking for a statement coat, like with fur or a certain color? Keep an eye out for that! Same goes for any other piece of clothing. You can look for specific things or keep an open mind when you go in the store and browse everything. Don’t think you have to get something every time you go, either. If nothing looked good this time, come back again another day and see the new stuff they put out. Pinterest is my inspiration for finding outfits and single pieces that can be found at thrift stores too.
