I really want to go to Alton, but I live very far away unfortunately. As for fear, it is no longer an issue for me, but I used a similar strategy when I went to energylandia after their huge expansion. I wasn't scared of rollercoasters in general, but I got terrified as soon as I saw zadra and hyperion. I started on dragon - a relatively slow inverted coaster, then moved over to formula and abyssus - launch coasters. After that I felt it was time for Zadra. It turned out to be one of the best things I had experienced. I ended my day on hyperion and it was an absolute blast. The advice I can give to someone who is scared of coasters is to walk around the park you are in, look at the rides until you find something that makes you think "that doesn't look as bad as I thought it would" and just send it. Use the confidence built on that ride to get on something bigger.

that really is the best way to get over them! Energylandia looks a amazing park and somewhere I want to visit the rides look so much more intimidating compared to UK parks so its always great when the parks have perfect rides for every ability to help build up glad you enjoyed Zadra and Hyperion in the end!

My fears boil down to 2 things: 1) The noises are overwhelming. 2) I'm scared I'll find the forces uncomfortable. Being thrown around and pressed against things and being squeezed. And you're completely out of control and can't do anything about it. I was able to get on galactica A-OK. Admittedly I nearly chickened out because they kept raising and lowering us, about three or four times. Thirteen put me off with that first drop. When it came to wickerman... I just couldn't. Doesn't help that we go with somebody who has a RAP. You basically get chucked onto it before you see anything coming.

I’m unsure what can help with noises however with the forces I’d say it’s over before it’s starts the rides aren’t long so if you go on wicker man then if you don’t like it the ride only lasts for one minute so if your not enjoying the rides it will soon be over with wicker man you don’t feel like your being pushed in your seat or feel like your being squeezed it’s got a force but it’s nothing massive it’s more relaxing then intense I’d recommend just push yourself as it will soon be over and if you didn’t like it then you know for next time look at rides you’re like to try on KZbin look for sections you think you won’t enjoy see how long those bits last and see what he better for you to ride first

I’m personally really scared of the drop feeling in rollercoasters, I love all other parts like the twists, turns and loops but it’s that drop feeling for me, any advice on how you cope with this feeling when you started to enjoy rollercoasters?

for me I got chucked onto oblivion which isn't the best for that feeling if you don't enjoy it one thing I could suggest its what I've told a couple of people when they are wanting to try oblivion but scared of the drop is just count in your head count the feeling of the drop so your not fully focused on the feeling and are just counting instead that's the best way personally what I would do, I hope this helps you
