So guys it’s my birthday! And why rely on others when you can plan your own present? It's been 10 years of ordering from @porsche centre in Reading, from my first Carrera 2S 991.1, numerous Taycans and 911s, and now finally - a #PorscheGT product!! :)
Join me today as we start with Coffee at home, and then take a Taxi off to Reading!
We will then immediately do the Car Unveil, and we will have some Spec talk on why I configured the car with Vanadium silver and indigo blue wheels!

Raz your 717 SPYDER RS is stunning to look at‼️ Besides the fact that it is one of the best driving cars in the world and it is so very unique in style and appearance!!! Wow Wow Wow really love the color matching and the blue magnesium wheels!! I have owned 17 Porsches. I really enjoy driving my super fast 911 Turbo S. I noticed when you were driving that you could shift your PDK with the console stick and not limited to only the paddles. Only GT cars have this now. They took this feature away with the 992 model. One very stupid decision by Porsche!!! I won’t buy another Porsche until they bring this back. It is incredibly difficult to secure an allocation for a GT car. Tried several times to secure an allocation but have been denied even after buying 17 Porsches. Absolutely love your car!!!! Enjoy it to the max‼️‼️‼️Thanks for sharing Brother!!!!! 👍👊💪😎🇺🇸

99% of people don't use the stick to shift, its far better having both hands on the wheel and using your fingertips on the paddles, they won't be going back...... Oh and its a 718 ;)

@@davidkn you are 100% WRONG. I took a vote of my state PCA Chapter and a total of 101 out of 103 desires to have the console shifter back in the car. The two that didn’t care only drive manual transmission Porsches. I raced for Porsche for 11 years when only the race cars had PDK transmission and we had the console shifter in our cars. Racing in 2-3 hour periods you do not have both hands always on the steering wheel. Do some research and you will be enlightened. Yeah I am a friend of 717 Street Speed so I had a typo, thanks for your correction pointing out 718. Do you have any friends? Just curious! Why do the GT cars have the console shifter and now the non-GT cars don’t? Porsche is saving cost, don’t give them credit when they are losing their care for the average Porsche owner. Do you drink water or coffee while driving? When doing that it is nice to be able to shift with the console shifter if driving a PDK optioned car. Do you drive with both hands on the steering wheel constantly? Handicapped Porsche owners without an arm prefer the option also. This option was and is in many Porsches for many years. It is obvious to me that you haven’t given much thought to this. Are you up and locked mentally? In the racing community it is very much required to have the option to shift with the console shifter; hence the very reason that it is still available in the GT Porsches. How many years have you acquired racing cars, it appears from your response that you haven’t accumulated a racing resume? Well keep on driving with both hands on your steering wheel. Porsche has become too successful when the company leadership stops listening to their customers. Do you own a Porsche or even a GT Porsche? Are you a member of the PCA. Do you race in any type of endurance training? Oh well several members of my circle of friends actually do. Good Day, Page 2, that’s the end of the story.

Not I don’t drink whilst at the wheel, I’m an adult, and the position of the cup holder in the 992 would prevent a bottle being in there and shifting. I own a 992, you don’t so who’s the expert here? I am a long time Porsche owner, all new factory orders, I’m a member of the Porsche GB club. I’ve done lots of team driving, but I’m not a racing driver. You are a unique individual and have canvassed your peers, it’s not a true reflection of the majority of 911 owners. Most of which will never see a track, and the ones that do, probably own a gt car that does have the shifter. So get off your high horse you pompous idiot.

If I had it all my way I’d have gone black on black, but I have a Mrs who has an opinion haha.

7:31 I am not nearly wealthy enough to even consider a car like this, but have a close friend who is... Sold his company years back, became an extreme petrol head and through him I understood how much these "small but large" PERSONAL touches mean to people how can buy whatever they want, where ever they choose to. His motto is "Mate, any expensive product you buy is off course important - but the FEELING I get throughout the process is just as important, if not more¨. When you can buy material things beyond most people´s capacity; the way that the seller operates (yes, to strike egos, off course) is SO much more important than I ever thought.

I like how the front wheel well merges into the fender and is going to be ripped apart by rock bits on the roads. There's no paint protection film that will stand up to the abuse that wheel is going to throw at it.
