Man, as someone working on the powerline clearance end of things it's nice to see you running a bucket right on the shoulder like that. I wouldn't worry about it as much with lower voltage pole to pole service lines but try not to run a chipper with the boom up while working near the spicy stuff. There have been lots of people that became a "safety stand-down" from incidental line contact... with the man touching the chipper or digging around in the tool box was the best path to ground.

These videos really unique. It's cool seeing you in the bucket/climbing and Randy working the chipper. There isn't another channel like this. Here in FL I did tree work for years before coming to a company and becoming a "chipper operator". Also worked frequently in a forestry bucket before climbing. Its interesting to watch from a 3rd person pov. Keep up the awesome work!

Props on being on the ground for most of this job. Owning a business is a big change because you can't channel client relationships/ probe for work near while climbing/ in the bucket. It's a big difference between self employed and owning a business. I'm figuring that out myself.

Jacob, your little orange climbing saw sounds like it’s got a tune that’s too fat. If it’s an auto tune then it should be addressed at a Husky dealer, but if a manual adjustment then it needs to be leaned out some.

Hearing that chipper running brought back lots of memories of when i was doing line clearance work for the orange trucks. Wish I'd worn hearing protection! Our chippers didn't have the controlled feed. We fed the limbs right into the blade drum that rotated at the speed of light.

Randy the Mandy was meticulous in unwrapping the rope when feeding chipper. Can you mitigate the risk of sucking the rope into the chipper by tying off the hanging rope to the tree at ground level?

Once in my life I made a choice between the trees or the ground. I choose the ground because the thought of the gardens and the grass maintained my way in a town of other men doing the same thing appealed to me. I was 5'4 and a quite stout 120 pounds. My tree houses were as high up there as I could build em!
