Sometimes it comes apart easier than it goes back together. And then again now you know how it comes apart and can put it back together easier, lol. Thanks for sharing your adventure.

I’ve helped do this job on a 9610 with no forklift and it was super fun….

I've seen some rough augers in my day. That one is right up there for just plain old wear. The new one will pay for itself just in fuel savings! LOL.

I knew it was bad, but I didnt know it was that bad until we got it out.

@@DylanJoyceFarms Well that's why you don't go lookin for trouble. Eventually you will find it. LOL. If it were me. That auger would have a mount on the wall.

Moulton AL has a steakhouse in a grain bin. Dad and I ate there once on a parts run. Has that combine ever been in rice?
@DylanJoyceFarms3 жыл бұрын
No this combine come from Streator Illinois about an hour from Peoria. Ran in the flat black ground ice cream dirt all its life till it came to west TN
@johndycus78003 жыл бұрын
Russ, high moisture plus high yield corn is just as bad on augers as rice.

I have a question.. on the vertical shaft I found a spacer and spring in between the bearings. They were not arranged in the proper order due to the bearings coming apart. What is their position when they go back together?

Be careful busting them bearings with a cole. chisel. I have been carrying a piece in my chic off of a 4400 combine since 1983.
