I am always tempted to jump to these systems. I gave an EFI swap (OBDI EBL flash setup) a go a few years ago and it almost killed my enthusiasm for being a gearhead. In hindsight I've learned a lot more since then about how to tune vehicles (at least tuning carbs), and I think I might have had better luck if I were to do it now, but still there's just so many things that can wrong on a fuel injection setup and when one of them does go wrong you can end up chasing your tail for years on it. I love fuel injection and how they work for the OEM's, but for just a regular hot rodder without the full resources of a massive OEM R&D department, it just seems like too big of a piece to bite off sometimes. My hat is off to the professional tuners, those guys are wizards. I will say the Wideband sensor was a HUGE help in tuning the carb.

@@KyleP133 I completely understand. That's why I decided to remove the system on this truck but leave it in the dually. It greatly improved the stock engine on the dually, but was a fight in the C10. I think I figured out what the problem was, I'll explain that in the next video. Thank you for watching

Seems to be a lot of these now removing that Sniper and going back to carb. I have always tried to keep everything I own as close to stock as possible. Of course, I long ago saw the end or the urge for more power.

@@546cowboy6 I've had good luck with the one on my dually. Keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't start giving me trouble.

Do you think the ignition box and coil were getting hot under the battery right beside the header?

Sniper system is junk. All the people I know that are happy, dont have any miles on it. Everyone else has nothing but problems, usually starting about 1000 miles after install. Terminator is the way to go for fuel injection, or LS if on a budget. Most cars I get need new engine anyways so LS is a no brainer these days. even with inflated parts costs.

@@fraserfab68 I have about 15k miles on my dually with the sniper. I think it depends on what you're goal is.

I’ve had a super sniper on mine for several years, besides, some firmware update issues I haven’t had one problem with it. And that’s it TwinTurbo’s.

@@stanlee7635 Have had it on my dually for several years without an issue. Had tuning problems on this vehicle specifically. Check out the next video to see what I think was the issue all along.
