At first I wasn’t sure but now I think it’s much better. It’s great to have more light. Look forward to the next part!

The space looks much better now! I also have two huge bushes of them but I cut them down every year because I love the smell in the spring.

Yes, they are lovely for a short period. The rest of the year pretty boring. Now I have more space for something else as well! 😁

I hope you left a little bit, they are pretty and smell wonderful. But I agree, opening the view up to the trees was a very good idea. It’s nice to have the view with some things close and some far. Good luck on it all.

Thank you! There are many more lilacs. I don’t think these ones would have put out many blooms anyway, since they grew in the shadow.

Yes !! to light in the north and it also keeps the mosquitoes down close to the house . Such a pretty place .

So true! And I think that you always need a woodland also, so I´m going to plant nice things there when the roots are gone!

Much better. Remember to cut down any new shoots as they come back. - For the rest of the year and all of next year. Otherwise, it will get just as big in no time.
