ants threes 2 schools of thought on beavers 1 they cut trees and flood land 2 cutting trees and flooding land promotes aquifer regeneration habitat for wildlife and wetlands which filter pollutants leaving fresh flowing water, i am not going to decide which is more correct for your situation... another solution is to remove the ditch by laying pipe and burrying it removing the oppertunity for beavers to follow there instict to slow flowing water. thanks for the videos

Take care of your ankle, Andris! I blew the ligaments in my ankle some years ago and didn't realize I had done so much damage because the swelling went down and it healed. I later discovered that the rest of my body and the other leg had to do all the work stabilizing the weaker side. I had the ankle repaired 6 months ago and the difference is striking!. So, please get it diagnosed and taken care of.

I think neat and orderly stacks of logs for firewood is something that only happens on a persons neighbors land, and in fairy tales. Doesn't matter how much time you spend neatly stacking and sorting, the moment you pause and look at your handwork it turns into an unholy mess. It's some sort of magic. My father was caretaker of a camp around 1980 in the arid foothills north of Los Angeles. We contacted the forestry service which gave us 5000 seedling native trees. Dial the years forward to the present. That 54 acres of camp can easily be found on Google earth standing out as the only conifer forest within 100 miles in any direction.

Had a thought. I'm thinking about using all that brush and other tree stuff for the area you have been talking about putting gravel or removing the dirt. Could spreading the wood stuff around and drive over it with the bulldozer and doing some pivot steering. Mixing the wood and dirt. Then you can say you have a composite work area lol I think it would give a better surface to place gravel - so the gravel doesn't sink into the ground
@Ants_Pants

Hmm. Yup just need a wood shredder
@RectalRooter
@RectalRooter 7 ай бұрын
@@Ants_Pants I think you are right. You would have to use a powerful wood chipper to do it, it would take to long if you did not. I wonder how big a piece of wood could the bulldozer break apart by driving and pivoting over the wood. I also see a problem with mud. Because you would still have dirt on top of the broken / chipped wood.

With all the trees you do, you need to automate your planting. If you make a wheel for your hobo mount to be driven by hydraulics, you can put a cone on it with tube curling a third of the way so it pokes a hole and then rolls forward dropping the sapling in. And you dirve on placeing the next sapling in the tube ready for gravity.

Really like that you're replanting trees, as it's sustainable forestry any product you sell can carry a premium. Deer and rabbits just love saplings, you might want to get some spiral covers for them. Those puffball mushrooms, that's not smok it's spores and if you have any type of fungi, mushrooms, toadstools it just shows that your soil and the environment they are in is really healthy so good on you. Nice of Santa Claus to help out, re your ankle you need to give it some hot and cold treatment, you can do it at home and it's free. With your back, it's probably not just planting trees, your body will be reacting to your ankle pain, your back will be compensating and trying to rebalance itself. Heat treatment will help, so spending some time in the sauna would be good. As someone who has lifelong spinal issues, apart from the pain killers and muscle relaxants I have to take daily, heat really helps. Great filming Ants. 👍
