Removing Outer Timing Chain Cover on a 1997 Nissan Maxima GXE

Working hours was about 3 days. I am not a professional, just got a book and watched videos. It is because I changed both head gaskets and all the other gaskets along the way. I also polished and cleaned down the engine and surfaces, changed timing chains and water pump and all that. Just take your time with it, no rush. I do have videos from the job, but I live in the Caribbean now for med school and the internet is very slow to upload. I will try.

Anybody watching this video make sure you remove the oil pan and remove to 12 millimeter bolts ,vital information left out

MAKE SURE TO REMOVE THE 2 BOLTS INSIDE THE OIL PAN!! important info left out in this video! 20 bolts on the front, 2 underneath inside the oilpan. don't try to pry it off before that!

Is this the same process for the 2000 maxima? I hear its the same 3.0 ltr engine are in both maximas but the 2000 engine has some upgrades. Idk.

forgot to drop the oilpan theres two 12 mm bolts in the bottom

You don't remove the oil pan. Only the steel oil pan cover.
