Removing Polymer Clay from Tiny Cutters

When you want to make tiny holes (or tiny circles), ferrules and other tiny cutters are really helpful. But getting the clay back out of the little tiny cutters can be frustrating. Here's the way to do it.

Blades are your best friend…but don’t forget to pay close attention, just sliced my finger today! I have no idea what happened, it was a fast fluke!!!

This is a great tip for thin flat pieces. Thanks! However just yesterday I used a few of these tools for a Mokume Gane stack and really had a heck of a time getting the clay out and was actually 100% unsuccessful with one of those tiny things. Any suggestions, Ginger?

Hey Dawn, first poke through with a needle tool and get most of it out. Then to clear out the rest, get one of those fat pipe cleaners from the craft store, dip it in alcohol and "thread" it through. Go back and forth a few times. That should clean it out.
