Something I learned recently it to put a baby wipe over your finger before you smear the caulk makes it smoother and keeps your fingers clean.

All you have to do is wet your finger a little and the silicone or caulk won’t stick to it.

When you caulk try using a wet T-shirt rag to smooth it out you’ll be amazed how much nicer it’ll look.

I am out on my initial adventure in Cora the Abditory Traveler (uhaul box truck conversion). After driving from Kentucky to Arizona and spending a month out on our remote, off-grid property, hubs headed back home and im experiencing my first adventure solo...well, with my dogs! As a quilter my initial journey is to Hamilton MO, home of Missouri Star Quilt Co. I'll spend my remaining nights, after tonight, sleeping in truck stops or rest areas to try all my options. Jaylena, you have been an inspiration and encouraged me to do this. I'm 60 yrs old and while I ought to go back home for my granddaughters birthday I just want to keep going!

One thing that I learned over the years is that a pilot hole is needed on self tapping or self drilling screws. The only place that I’ve seen that a pilot hole was not needed was on thin sheet metal such as duct work. Now having said that and before I get beat up, you don’t have to have a pilot hole with self drilling screws but it makes using the self drilling screws so much easier. It doesn’t tire you out having to push so hard. Keep on building so I can keep on watching, later.

Jaylena, don't throw those lights from the front & back of the bus away, because, if you ever decided to pull a small trailer wagon behind the bus to haul a golf cart, side by side, motorcycle, or electric bicycles on, those lights could come in handy as reflectors to keep someone from hitting the trailers rear end. Or perhaps Isaac could use them as spare parts to fix another buses lights. You never know when they may come in handy. God Bless your build. ❤💙

Good to see the delegates panels were easy to install. However do not think it is as clean as welding panels in for a smoother look. That said it would be easier to switch back to the original lights this way though. Will miss the roof lights though and would turned them into maker lights instead. Great video. 🙂🙂

Lover the video. Like the way your bus is coming along. Can’t wait to see what you do on the inside. You should have used a razor blade instead of a putty knife. The gaskets behind the lights would have come off easier. The only lights that were not legal was the red lights facing forward. But I think it looks better without them anyways.
