Removing the Background from an Image with Photopea

Removing the background from an image is essential to building composite images. In this Photopea Tutorial, we'll take a look at how to remove the background from a simple shape, and a more difficult one.
We'll see how to make a background transparent with the magic wand tool on easier shapes, and how to use the refine edge tool to make a much more precise selection. We'll cover how to use a raster mask, a non-destructive way to remove the background from an image.

Hi, and thanks for the video. I have an unrelated Photopea question which I hope you'll be kind enough to answer for me, as I can't find the information I need anywhere. I'm used to Photoshop, but I can't afford having it anymore. Now, when using the Liquify tool in PS, there's a function that lets you block parts of the image from being affected when you make changes. I keep needing that function in PP, but I can't find it. How to do it?

Make sure you're saving it as a .png, so it will retain the transparency.
