When you install that crate engine I would pull the hood off, helped a lot when I replaced my 350

After you put the new motor in, ditch that old black box PCM with a good 0411, that will open you for more tuning options in the future should you decide update further.

Second comment mentioning this, I'll definitely have to do it

@@BADZ71 If you're looking for a stock tune for it, one for a 2001 or 2002 Chevy Express van with the same 350 Vortec will work, those used the 0411 from the factory.

I would suggest you install a Blue-Top Steering Gears steering box, Kryptonite pitman arm (and center drag link and tie rods if money permits), and Proforged idler arm and bracket.

Won't be able to do Kryptonite this time around, but I'm definitely looking into that steering box

Have you thought about using the motor and building a 383 stroker for a future project?
@BADZ71 Жыл бұрын
Yeah, that's Always a possibility, same with my 5.3, I'd love to throw that in an OBS dually or square body

Theres Comp Cams and Also Switching to 0411 computer. I was going to do the same thing but one of my race team to told me to try the LS swap on my 97 k1500 and honestly i went an try the ls and never looked back. So if your staying with the 5.7 i would say go an do a 0411 swap. And comp cam swap. I would because I am looking for another k1500 an when I do I will do the same thing
@BADZ71 Жыл бұрын
I'll have to look up the 0411 swap, I've heard about it but don't know much.

@@BADZ71 it helps opening up the engine get to tune it. Specially doing aftermarket stuff and get to delete the EGR and unwanted sensors get the true power out of it
