Wow , so easy, you don't even have to remove the brake caliper! You've inspired me, sir!

I struggled for 30 minutes trying to remove the silencer until I watched this and saw I needed to twist it first. Thanks, I was about to get the hammer and some brute force and ignorance out.

Tony thank you! Straight forward, no fluff! I had my first flat out in BFE, local motorcycle shop wouldn't touch it!

Damn, I love the fact that the rear wheel comes off without messing with anything other than the rim. No chain adjustment or anything. I want to get a set of spare rims with TKC 80's on them. This is so easy!

Omg, I had NO idea it was this easy to remove the rear wheel. Thank you for the vid. I'm almost ashamed for having to bring her in. Time to buy tools.
@Tonyous7 жыл бұрын
Ro0ster I'm not sure what the size is. I'm sure you can find the specs online easily. I originally got it for my Ducati 1098 so the specs are the same.

Yep...found the tools on Motowheels. TY again for the vid and wish I searched beforehand.

Thanks so much for this! I went to remove my tire on my 2016 for the first time and was surprised to find the impediments to just take it off. You saved me some time and a lot of cussing. I learned there are some minor differences on my 2016: the big bolt for the exhaust clip was accessed from below, and the clip itself is a little different than yours: you don't rotate it as much as wiggle and pull straight off. The clip's "pattern" was readily discernible as I could see it from underneath. The little black shield's three bolts were different sizes: two 3mm heads and one 4mm (the one in the middle toward the rear) and there was a small spacer that fell out behind that one, presumably going between the shield and the exhaust but I'll figure that out when I put it back together.

can you please let us know what tools you were using? I have all hex except 7mm, and when trying to remove the silencer brace clamp, I cant tell which size key to use. Thanks!

I had to get the tool from Ducati. 50$, the stupid screw that holds the silencer in was rusted.. Ducati used a cheap screw instead of stainless steal. Thanks for the video!

Hi Tony, What is the size of the nut? thnx
@paulcolburn76399 жыл бұрын
Tony...my 2012 hyper has a regular 6 sided nut with the retainer clip. I was told that the nut is actually just a cover for a 46 tooth nut holding the wheel on. whats your speculation? and whats your torque spec? the Indianapolis tech wont tell me squat. They tell me to buy the $400 manual instead.
@Tonyous9 жыл бұрын
+Paul Colburn did you get it sorted? I would have guessed that there was no nut under the "Cover" what did you find out?

Ha ha! If you don't have the intelligence to take out a bolt without me showing you how, then you should be riding a Suzuki! Just kidding. The GSXR is my girlfriend's bike of choice. Ha ha...I realized that sounds like a slam as well...oh well! :-)
