I love Tami too a great deal but Remy is my girl. Love how Tami was able to show this vulnerable side that Remy spoke of. They literally just bounced off each other's minds and energy so well. I have body dysmorphia as well. And it’s not just the regular criticism people have towards themselves. Everything is magnified x 100. There is never a moment of self acceptance and you’ll never see what the world sees or more so what God created. 😞

How do people with the condition know what "regular" people (especially women) feel? (genuine question) I'm with Remy on this. A LOT of women have the SAME feelings of never loving their body nor accepting what they see 🤷🏽♀️ "not being able to walk in someone else's shoes" works both ways I think.

This is a great interview! It’s good to see black women who have come from a negative lens in the public eye since way back to now living in their truth as mature women who are self aware and owning the vulnerabilities that sparked real growth in their lives. Love to see it! I’m proud to see Tammy speaking about BD. It’s a very misunderstood disorder that the free world thinks only affect white women. My whole crusade is about educating the culture on mental health topics, especially lesser known ones like BD and eating disorders. There’s so much to know besides bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. The diaspora is FINALLY waking up to our fractures and starting to heal. I cannot wait to see this Girl In The Closet movie. I’m not sure if there’s been a real storyline like it since Precious. Family abuse over a disability check??? It’s so, so common and hardly ever discussed. It’s time, ya’ll. It’s time to start talking about all the shit we’ve been doing/seeing/hearing about and shoving under the bed for years.
