This is based on Animal Farm the book and A Clockwork Orange the movie. At the very beginning you can see the 7 rules from the book, and he’s dressed like the main character from Clockwork and carries the staff like him also. If you have the time it’s a good but odd movie and excellent book that’s a quick read. Have a great day. 😁😁

The pig masks are representative of the anti-capitalist term “capitalist pigs.” Many of REN’s tracks have anti-capitalist critiques. Orwell’s Animal Farm is, after all, one of the most famous repudiations of Capitalism and the exploitation of the laborers.

I think the whole Sick Boi album is represented by the masks, it might actually be a concept album which is really left field these days as people usually have singles on a play list and don't have the patience for longer projects. I for one love the depth you can get from listening to albums cos I'm an old man that grew up on it and if anyone can bring back the depth it's Ren.

There are tons of Animal Farm & Clockwork Orange references, with a little Charlie & the Chocolate Factory & Thriller thrown in. It’s very Orwellian, Animal Farm. The rules are painted on the wall, like they were painted on the barn. So I’d guess you could call the pigs Napoleon and Snowball. The white suit, black eyeliner, cane used as a bat and tat on face is all very Clockwork Orange. Other pop references would be the mask of the Creatire from the black lagoon, The Shining, with the small bike being rode in the hallway and Witches Of Eastwick, where the three girls are crawling at his feet, as they did to the devil. The dogs playing poker is too a Coolidge reference. There’s probably a few I’ve missed too.

Also many animal masks from the Pig Butcher, therapist wearing the pig mask.., himself wearing the pig mask … from Hi Ren to Sick Boi and back to Hunger and including his Illist of our Time and the animal masks at the beginning. He is commending on Society in western civilization specifically Uk (Europe) and the United States/Canada. Also Humans being one of the top apex predators on earth but also how we humans treat each other. Early in the video, referring to 'Sick Boi', you said something pretty profound. You referred to the therapist and the pig butcher as representing part of the "medical INDUSTRY"... That alone, when you really think about it... Says it all. It absolutely is an INDUSTRY. What do industries do? They pump out products to the masses... There's no incentive to cure anyone.. Enough about that though, sorry. I'm supposed to be commenting on THIS video lol...I liked your take on this. I saw a direct line to the George Orwell novel Animal Farm. If you haven't read it, I recommend it. Great video as always, good luck with all your applications etc, take care brother!

Remember tho that it’s a little different in the uk. From gov website: ‘The current cost in England is £9.65 per prescription item. The cost of prescriptions usually increases slightly every April. You may be eligible for free prescriptions depending on your age or circumstances. If you live in Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland you don't have to pay for your prescriptions.’ So - I think he rails, quite rightly, against the medical profession for his mistreatment but not so much the “big pharma”/industry.

Awesome breakdown, as always, love how you are always looking for the deeper well, man. Always wanna find out what's going on beneath the surface. I think, even knowing the song is based on Animal Farm, there are a lot of layers to that onion. You could interpret it systemically, ya know, especially with the announcement he's going to burn down the capital. That overthrow could be in his brain, he talks a lot about being in his mind so that overthrow of power could be a mentality he's upsetting. We could also look at it from a music industry perspective in saying, ya know, he's going to upset the system, it's time for a new king in the way that music operates, and he's there to help fight for the change. But, I kind of think the mark of a truly inspiring creator is that you can look at it from all the ways, and it makes sense, interpretation being so open means that he's made something that relates well to many people for different reasons and keeping that anonymity is always refreshing.

guys, please turn your monitor off and listen to his lyrics and phrasing. That is where you find the actual message, not the blunt instrument of the video used to push us in the right direction. The visuals give us entertainment, direction and context. Now, lets move past that and pay very very close attention to his entire catalogue since Money game 1 and follow the threads that he weaves into all his work and how those threads manifest themselves in this piece as a potential "conclusion". I would be somewhat surprised if he makes another song/video like this as he has taken themes from all his other work and combined them here so unless I am missing something this piece feels like a "!" at the end of the sentence. I imagine he will continue to write about many of these subjects as you write what you know and what you are driven to express but please go beyond the surface as his message is bigger than this is animal farm and doesn't he look a lot like a guy from a movie.

Ren is for sure truly #Special If he gets a few young'uns to actually read Orwell (this whole thing, including the list on the wall, is Animal Farm), & a few of those to understand the eugenicist technocratic overlord-wannabe psychopaths at think-tanks like Tavistock, who inject all sorts into the culture as social experimentation / manipulation.... then he's doing the Lord's work. #RENaissance ;) p.s. it's never a waste of time to watch the Kubrick movies, preferably paired with the excellent breakdowns Jay Dyer offers. ;)

Not every Ren song is about mental health. A lot of people have latched onto that and look for it everywhere. Even in a rack like Hi Ren, it's not the main theme. The main theme is the human condition, generally. It's similar with the line, 'autoimmunity, illness and psychosis". All people seem to hear is 'psychosis', or they automatically assume that 'illness' must mean mental illness. This song is loosely based on Animal Farm. It's main theme is power structures and wanting to tear them down. Only then having the issue of your power possibly becoming tyrannical, for good AND ill. :)

Check out the works of "Dan Le Sac vs Scroobius Pip" along with Pip's solo work too. Scroobius Pip is a spoken word/poet, turned hip hop artist who put his words over Dan Le Sac's beats. Together they released 3 albums, all vastly different yet similar at the same time, as well as one solo album. Pip has since gone on to be one of the UK's most successful podcast hosts. Definitely a vibe that you'll love!

He is paying tribute to cult film classics ..Animal Farm being the main theme based with scenes from these classics like The Shining (girl on bike in hallway) Witches of Eastwick ( 3 girls round Rens feet ) A clockwork orange ( dressed in white with a cane ) Silence of the Lambs ( cannibal stair scene with lamb ) the chocolate factory (the beat ) Wind in the willows and creature from the black lagoon ( bathroom scene toad and creature in bath ) All cult classical movies.. Im sure there are more .. this is a piece of art ..nice reaction
