@@SanctusApologetics BRO STOP YOU'RE KILLING ME! The Council of Vienne contradicts it, arguably every verse in the Bible describing a physical object having color contradicts Descartes's philosophy, and this 'pope in chair or I don't have to believe' mentality is literally just stupid radtrad and liberal magisteriology.

I disagree. He may not be thinking at all, and could just be an observer of thought. Also to say that one can live without a body is ridiculous, and to deny its existence even when you move with it, live with it and are never separated from it is crazy to me. Anyway, love the video! keep up the good work :)

I've never seen a mind in of itself, I have however seen bodies with minds seemingly attached to them.

To be an observer of thought but to not think is a nonsensical statement, as to be an observer of thought you'd still think about being said observer of thought. Can you imagine existing without a body? Can you imagine not existing?

@@jameslay1489that's the absolute worst argument against substance dualism I've ever heard. The mind is immaterial and incapable of being directly observed. That's philosophy of mind 101 lol

@@jameslay1489 and that's question begging against every argument that's been put forward in defense of substance dualism, such as Richard Swinburne's revamped version of the Cogito or Howard Robinson's version of the knowledge argument. There are dozens of different arguments for immaterialism (dualism and idealism) that you need to refute to make good on that claim.

"The proposition 'I am, I exist' is necessarily true each time that I pronounce it, or that I mentally conceive it." Only something which exists, can doubt that it exists. Consider then this: "Only something which exists can doubt that I pronounce it, or that I mentally conceive it."
