Renée Fleming sings Merci Jeunes Amis from the French version of I Vespri Siciliani or Les Vêpres Siciliennes by Verdi. Great high note at the end!

Goodness gracious! What a phenomenal instrument Ms. Fleming has. A gift that I still can't comprehend but am astonished by every time. Sublime artistry and a delicate sound that defines the term pure. If only I could sing a fraction of her dazzeling ability. Bravo! :)

album credit: "Renee Fleming" - on London/Decca 467049 worth noting this was recorded in 1999.. I wish she still sang like this all the time, it's so, so very good. What a great trill.

After listening to Fleming in Mozart's Dove sono I thought I had to hear her in one of Verdi's Coloratura. I'm blown away!!!! Much love to this woman!!!!

What I love about this is that sensational high E that comes out of nowhere....expertly exocuted of course!!!!

VERY well sung! Bravi Ms Fleming. She has a similar kind of spinto voice to that of Ms Netrebko, but whereas Ms Netrebko's is a sloppy fiasco, this is excellent.

Rene Fleming is a medium lyric... on the coloratura side...! Netrebko is a large lyric on the spinto side with coloratura! Whew..

French version is mild and elegant. I prefer to this version to Italian version.

Me too! First time I heard it sung in its original French was on a Beverly Sills Verdi recital disc

Extremely impressive, without the tweeness that ruins some of her singing.
