I'm surprised you didn't react to the live version of Murderer yet. The difference in that to the recorded version was so huge and really opened up Rens voice.

just a FYI and a little known fact about Ren, his mother is/was a vocal coach. A lot of people like to think that he's entirely self taught and grew up on the street struggling, but that's just not the case, he was an adult when he started busking and he was already singing and playing guitar in his teens as he came from a very musical family - which I think we're all very grateful for.

I love watching all the reactors on this one. It's so different and off the wall you almost can't enjoy it at first because you're trying to reconcile it with what you know about Ren. Then you get to the first dirty joke and it hits like a slap inthe face. For the rest of the track you're just jamming out and laughing. It's such a fun and off the wall track.

I would love to hear you react to The Big Push - Swan Song. It is a very lyrical song (one guitar, 3 voices harmonizing). It's unlike any other Ren or Big Push song I've heard.

So his album will finally drop on october 13. On a friday. All intentional of course. And this is basically his rap album where he wanted to proof himself in this world. But he is already writing on an album that gets back to the roots to his guitar centered music. He said he already wrote half of it and even recorded something. So the rap album is coming soon but the next one is in the works too. And that will obviously more focused on singing again. I thought you might be interested to know this information. :)

Love your knowledgeable reaction. Hearing a lot of early house sounds on the beats track. Lyrically I’m not 100% sure - not the delivery, but the content. It’s playful, but, and I could be way off base, it feels like he’s happy to shock and even unload some of those who put him on a psychological pedestal after Hi Ren. Might be overthinking it.
@ancltube Жыл бұрын
All the songs he has released recently were written last year, *before* he made Hi Ren. He stacked them up to be released while he was in Canada for the treatment. He has also mentioned that after the Hi Ren success, he was afraid that these more relaxed playful songs might not be what people were expecting.

im trying to figure out how to actually just sing. im at the stage when i can freely make a high and low sound using mixed voice with smooth transitions but i can't do that with the lyrics because then the mixed voice quickly weakens and goes away. and im not using the full volume (support) for it. probably like 1/3 of the full voice. because i wanna make it more effortless and so that it lasts longer because my air lasts longer. i do know how to sing high with a full mixed voice with right full support and posture and with lyrics and have practiced that some time ago but i found that it's not really what i want right now so im trying to find something that still sounds strong but quieter. i have found it but again i don't know why it disappears when i sing the lyrics

Interesting how different reactors show their cultural biases. Some fade out any swear words and others totally gloss over the emphasis and meaning the words give the whole piece. Yet the words are acceptable and used in different countries.
