Ren is so talented but I’m also amazed at the talent that he associates with - The Big Push, Sam Tompkins, Chinchilla, Eden are the ones I’ve seen so far. I mean, The Big Push and Sam Tompkins are phenomenally talented. Haven’t worked through his whole catalog but there is nothing mediocre about the people in his orbit. Perhaps the blessing of being independent is he can draw to or invite in who he chooses and not do collaborations with people a record company wanted to push.
