No, it was part of the beat that Kujo made and sold via BeatStars. That' s why it' s not a legally cut and dried case because there was a creative process to it. This is Kujo's 'original' beat: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4OnqXt8jtd6o6s

The issue is still ongoing.. but KZbin took a look and decided that the copyright strike were illegal, so they removed the strike… Ren might still eventually take this off and replace it with the revamped version (where he does the beat himself)

Ren is a producer himself so when he got the beat he did some rearranging and additions.

@itsakittyting no kujo made the beat with the choir. Ren purchased it and fearranged it and addednhisnown stuff. But turned out kujo hadn't cleared the choir sample which is where all this trouble stems from.

He never LOST the rights to his song. He took it offline himself to prove a point that Kujo has NOTHING he can hold over Ren. That was after Kujo hit the video with a copyright strike, which obviously KZbin reversed because fvk Kujo's legal games.

This song's special bc of its lyrics, man. The "your mind is making you sick", and "find a hobby", and pumping him full of anti-psychotics for A DECADE, when his primary problem was physical... seriously messed him up, and the gaslighting is real... This is the link that ppl related to so much. And the fact that ppl did and sent countless messages to Ren thanking him for writing it and giving them voice, that... that was the justification of his sufferings, so for Ren this song kinda gave meaning to all the hell he went through. And for this connection and purpose to be taken away by the greedy... No.

Nice one guys I cannot believe you missed this first time round lol, The stem cell reference was also used in his recent song "Troubles" as in the stem cell Dr, and the Beat for Sic Boi was purchased off Beatstars as is and no colab was done with Ren and Kujo for the Sic Boi song.

That sample from Bre Petrunko/Bulgarian Choir really makes the song epic, i have a remix of that choir just for 3 minutes, but apart from that, this song means the world to me because of my own frustrations with the pillpushers ♥ glad you are reacting to it, would be cool to react to the original by the choir too

This was what Ren went through from being misdiagnosed.He is letting you know why he suffered 10 years of his life taken from him by Doctors mistakes. Still to this day Ren is in and out of the hospital. Ren is a genius, a legend, a poet no one is above him. lol

Ren does almost everything himself. He usually writes and composes all his beats; if he does get some samples, or a beat here and there for inspiration, he rearranges them, changes them, adds layers, etc. Kujobeats was never in a room with Ren. Ren bought the "unlimited" license for the beat from beatstars. Because kujobeats stole the sample of the choir and tried to extort Ren with a fake copyright, Ren removed song himself off all platforms so it could no longer be used as leverage, and will remake the beat for the song for the 1 year anniversary of the Sick Boi album. He then met with the head of KZbin Music in person to discuss the situation and how easy it is for fake copyright claims to have a huge detrimental effect. YT determined the copyright strike was fake and put the video back for now. It will get replaced with the new beat, I assume, when done.

KZbin found out it was copywrite under false pretenses, so they took it off. It's up for now til the legal matter is gone.

This. The copyright strike got removed, but the legal issues aren't over and Ren said in a community post over on his channel that he thinks Sick Boi is only back temporarily & will go away permanently when the legal stuff is finalized. All I can surmise is that like he said in the Twitch stream, its at-the-time removal has become part of the art itself, because once the legal stuff is resolved why would it come down? I think he might be telling us *he* thinks it needs to be gone now. He's already in the middle of making the new version so I can't imagine he'll abandon that project. (not that making a new version of it means the original can't continue to co-exist of course... but I can't think of any other line of thought that would explain why he says it's only back temporarily)

I may be wrong but i remember Ren saying he bought the beat and then altered it and rearranged and put his own stamp on it. Pretty sure it prob didnt sound like this in the original file/beat he purchased.

Ren purchased exclusive rights to the beat ,then he took it apart and added his own stuff to it to make it fit his song .the part of the beat that was not licensed is the Bulgarian choir .

It’s the Chanting. I don’t know what else it was layered with originally though. Ren bought the beat for unlimited usage, but he remixed it himself. All of his retakes are usually remixed by him as well. If he uses someone else’s beats, he finds a way to put his spin in it. Have a great day yall 🤛👊😎👍

The whole story is just a case of an up and coming independent artist not having the right people around him yet and being a people pleaser on top of it so the dude he licensed the beat from(that was illegally licensed so that alone would get it thrown out of court) seen an opportunity to attempt to extort him for a lot more money than he was owed since the song blew up. The only people with a legitimate argument to want some money for the song is the people who own the choir that was illegally licensed into the song. N it’s common sense that it would be the person who sold the license to the beat that would be responsible for selling something they didn’t have the rights to sell.

Odd request, but are these your favourite headphones? I've seen you use a few pairs I think - obviously these ones aren't cheap. I've eyed them up but wonder if I'll really benefit from them. My dailys are Sennheiser HD600 (old speckle paint ones) and Beyers DT 990s. So both a lot cheaper.
