I love the fact that you're commenting on reaction videos, Ren. It just reinforces how in touch you really are. I truly enjoyed your reaction and comments. I just learned about Ren a few days ago and have gone down this rabbit hole ever since. I can personally relate to many of his songs, and they deeply touch me. Ren is an incredible and unique artist; he plays multiple instruments and has great vocal ability. I recommend you check out some of his other work. The trilogy "The Tale of Jenny," "Screech," and "Violet" is haunting; watch them in the stated order, as this is the flow of the storyline. His song "Money Game" (Part I & II) is another recommendation. If you like his personal reflections, they are threaded through many of his songs; "Insomnia," "Depression," “Diazepam," “Penitence,” “Dear God,” “Heretic,” “Dominos,” his "Freckled Angels" album, just to name a few, all deserve a listen. Ren performs a range of genres, but mostly hip-hop or guitar-based ballads, as a solo act. His collaborations with Sam Tompkins, Chinchilla, and his performances as a member of the band "The Big Push" (which unfortunately broke up) are awesome and well worth checking out. Ren has impressive vocal and instrumental skills. He is one-of-a-kind.

Try this song: Ren X Chinchilla - Chalk Outlines (live) ** Its so amazing, theres no rapping or anything like that. Only singing and ofc its amazing vocals. And the lyrics is amazing. I think thats probably ONE of the best songs he has.

I'm at least part of the ones who asked you to react to this and oh boy, it did not disappoint at all. The whole reason I personally asked you through the form was to spread his creative mind and bloodhonest messages. Things like this are often pushed to the background, which results in more mental health issues, etc. Also, I follow your channel for quite some time, and I love your mindset, I come for the Dutch content, I stayed for the comfort it brings. Ren is a musical and lyrical genius!!! I love how in this performance Ren plays different cords/tunes on his guitar for each voice. You've got to react to his Tales Trilogy; Jenny's Tale followed by Screech's Tale and then Violet's Tale. They're all available in 1 video on Ren's KZbin channel. The beginning battle against the demon captures the eternal struggle against temptation, sin, and evil that is common to man and with that the belief that the individual can somehow win that battle. However, the counter to the battle against evil is not the killing of the demon but the holding on to of hope. Like a pendulum, there will be times of struggle, temptation, and suffering but it swings, and at times the light will be dominant so love and hope will take precedence. As he said there are no winners, there are those who suffer and those who are students. The students learn the dance of the pendulum and live better because of it. They learn to cope. When things get dark they know that it will not last forever, they maintain hope and are able to push through until the pendulum swings back. There is no need to beat oneself up over dealing with difficulties as he sums up in the end, we are all human and humans are by nature imperfect. The imagery is almost that of the demon version of yourself sitting on your shoulder speaking evil into your ear. He plays into that by turning to his right to speak to the demon while the demon speaks to the left. The angel, or hope, also speaks to the right as if he sits on Ren's other shoulder. Then Ren turns to speak forward, finding balance in that left-right motion, enabling him to not only speak truthfully about himself but to also speak to others.
