I'm a terribly cynical person but damn if I'm not starting to believe that Ren is gonna save us all. He says "I'm a poster child bipolar" when actually he's just a beacon of light for so many people overcoming struggle and his openness to share his message in such a creative way is something I've personally never seen before. I love this song and agree Eden is awesome!! I just realized you haven’t covered Ren’s duets with Chinchilla yet. Ren calls her his musical sibling. In my comments I usually start off by saying I'm a 64-year-old musician who played all kinds of music, blah blah blah, and in recent years I started making two lists: favorite artists and favorite songs. After seeing only two Ren videos, Hi Ren and Tale of Jenny and Screech, I immediately put Ren in my favorite artists list. His position in that list was secured by every Ren, Big Push, collaboration and Ren retake video I saw after that. Then I heard this song, and it popped right into my all-time-favorite song list! I love this one, it's cool, it's funny, it's important. Telling like it really is. Funny your comment about The Voice, it made me stop and think for a moment simply because I was questioning my own assumptions; after thinking about it I realized almost all the winners that I actually respected honed their art on the streets and dance halls. Gotta love the way both of them manage to pull off that low key rude boy sound (circa 70s/early 80s Sting) without trying to push it past what would be believable.
