At the end: "Could you be the one" comes from feeling like a test lab guinea pig where some supposed medical professional is throwing darts hoping one of them will be something that actually helps when you have to deal with these long term illness and/or disease. And with hope, you try to have faith that something will actually help, I do too.

You do know that REN has been sick for probably 12 years. He had been misdiagnosed and finally they discovered he had Lyme’s disease. He started producing his own music at the age of 10. His first band was trick the Fox. With Trick the Fox Sony offered him a contract with Trick the Fox. While they started the album he started to get sick. He was sick that both REN and Sony decided to end the relationship. He was 20 years old at the time. Also at the time his best friend Joe committed suicide. He really isn’t new it’s just that he is finally receiving recognition. REN is a master of music.

Yes. He had 2 stem cell transplants in 2016-17 which brought him back enough to start performing again, but he was not healed. Still has daily pain, brain damage, autoimmunity and allergies to 95% of foods. He had had the same meal for years. He gets tired of it all and music us his religion and his therapy

This is Rens journey to finding the cure for his illness in my opinion ..I lift up my eyes to the hills lyrics are referring to the cult horror movie The hills have eyes basically saying his life is a living nightmare ..the concoction of drugs and alcohol to numb his daily pain are referenced and the ending of the song showing him take the pills the distorted sounds and the lyrics Could you be the one ? basically saying could you be the pill that finally cures me from all this pain and suffering . nice reaction

This us the last drop now till Oct 12th when he drops Money Game3 his proudest creation since Hi Ren. The next day he drops the album. Then he steps into heavy antibiotic treatment trying to clear stuff from his body. He will probably be sorta out of sight while he does that. It causes pretty serious reactions called "herxing". Glad he is under medical supervision for this.

I love this song. It is the perfect combination of vocals and rap. All served up with really cool music. I believe that most of this album was written about 2 years ago. When he was in a dark place. He has said recently that his new album will be a lighter yang to this dark yin. Now that he is in a better place, within himself. That will be nice to see AND hear. Ren was so sick he became bedridden for up 23 hours a day he went so long misdiagnosed that it caused him to have brain damage Organ damage and damage to joints they had him on meds for depression bi polar and chronic fatigue syndrome caused him to have psychosis and ptsd they told him it was all in his head

Ren suffers from 2 incurable, chronic illnesses and a host of associated conditions and illnesses. It severely impacts his lifestyle. He's in near constant pain, tires easily, gets 'mind fogs' and has a severely restricted diet (just fresh meat and a few different types of fresh vegetables, that's it) due to being highly allergic to virtually all food. Some days he can't function at all. We only see him on his good days. A day without pain is his biggest wish. He has brain damage, nerve damage and damage to his joints and his internal organs. He was bedridden and unable to do anything, not even watch tv, for 7 years! The wrong drugs, following a misdiagnosis, led to psychosis, made even worse by being told that his physical symptoms were psychosomatic, ie all in his head. Meanwhile, his real illnesses were ravaging his body and brain, causing constant chronic pain, which in turn, and alongside his psychotic mental state, meant he hardly got any sleep. He also became seriously underweight too. An eventual correct diagnosis meant that his psychosis abated and his overall condition improved. He could stand and move about. Re' his mental health, he still suffers from ptsd, adhd and chronic depression. He remains seriously ill. He's spent most of 2023 in Canada, undergoing experimental medical treatments, in an attempt to repair some of the damage to his body and brain.

In his 1 million-subscriber thank you speech, (I may be paraphrasing slightly) Ren advised those “feeling hate against their fellow man”, to feel that hate/pain, express it, then let it go and find new peace. Seems like he is taking his own advice in Masochist and Lost All Faith. He wrote them during his darkest times, then took that pain, disillusion, desperation, depression and frustration and expressed it in songs about killing the whole world and losing his faith with everything. So, what does he do? He created art. I’m in awe.🤯

Some of what he does with music feels like targeted therapy, or toolkits for us others with chronic illness/disability. For me I took a couple of listens to figure out why I was getting ptsd flashbacks during this song. For me the sounds, beat etc are almost exactly what I get during extreme dysautonomia events (heartrate, auditory hallucinations etc). And so, when the beat *_stops,_* then the breaths come it, it's CPR and resuscitation. Don't know if this is intentional or not, too many parts of the lyrics and layout of the song fit my theory. Either way it's genius

I’m a huge fan of most of Ren’s stuff, but after Murderer which was a banger, the last 4 drops have been a bit lackluster for my ears. Down on the Beat I didn’t like at first but it’s catchy as hell… Masochist , was just ok…and I could go the rest of my life without hearing the hook from Love Music4🤢. My hope is that Money Game 3 will be more of what I’ve grown to expect from Ren, who despite me not enjoying these recent songs, I still think is one of the most original and talented musicians of this century.
