The anarchist in me is so psyched about this song. The metaphors are not missed. We really do need to "reevaluate" all the shit around and within us. The masochist title, according to me, refers to the fact that all that "killing" hurts like hell. It is not without sacrifice we reevaluate and change the world. Killing of our attachments to all the outdated tradition costs us relationships. it costs us pain and suffering. But to radically turn this ship around we have to figure out how to do things differently. Just my take.

Haha, yeah well, analogies only goes so far. We are not on a ship. Things are always f***ed and we can only do so much, I think it is all about doing what we can and realizing that we can do kind of a lot if we actually do things together. I was there during the live and people were getting OFFENDED! It was glorious! 😂 Ren said on the Twitch he wrote this 2 years ago. Covid still going on, he was still in pain every single day, and he just got done fighting with his then manger. He was in a huge "f*ck everything" attitude and he wrote this in one day.

Next Ren react: Crutch. From his first album. At this point, im sure you know it. Its another "very different" piece by Ren (what isnt?). Maybe the "heaviest" Ren song, like Nine Inch Nails. Among my top few favorites... his description, its about mental illness in a relationship. Written about a past relationship when he was significantly breaking down and the stress and pain both ways with his girlfriend.
