Endless kudos to Rod Stewart for showing the world what this song could be.

And RUNRIG, who's version I believe to be better than Rod's, just my opinion🤔😊

Stewart's arrangement is a grand and dramatic rock milestone. The use of the bagpipes and the men's chorus singing back up is nothing short of amazing.

Man how did he make this song feel so empty and soulless. I’m not the biggest Rod Stewart fan but his version is magestic and feels like it came from a true vet
@juliusnepos60134 жыл бұрын
Yeah, that is because René's singing is too styled after Elvis Presley's. Afterall he was an impersonator and even now, he leads tours to Graceland. But for me, some parts of the instrumentals here are great

I like rod Stewart's version better, but the originals always have a special feel.

Until today I believed Rod Stewart has written that song. :-/
Wow...how did the song writers feel when they heard a dark song about an old Vet be taken up by this guy over-singing and empty arrangement

I respect the original but Rod Stewart's version gives another feeling.

In the words of the song's composer, Marc Jordan: "Years and years ago there was a Dutch Elvis impersonator who recorded Rhythm of My Heart and it was just gawd awful".

👍👍Original is good but Rod Stewart made it better keeping the original tune. Rene should be equally credited as Rod Stewart or maybe more...

Rod Steward drives around the world with this performance since at least one year. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJWoZHqXjN-Abq8. In the same time a lot of things had happen in the world but the statement is still the same?! It would more honest to use own songs for such propaganda (and not one of Marc Jordan. BTW: What is Jordan thinks about it). It would be also nice if Sailing can escape this fate (author Gavin Sutherland).
