Three years ago Ren had a gofundme running to afford to have the treatment he needed. Now he is running with from his music to invest in affordable treatments for other people. ❤ And it is thanks in large part to reactors for helping grow his audience and spread these messages. RENs chapters are told through his experiences of the onset of his illness through to his resolution of a diagnosis and treatment. He adds a relative song at the end of each chapter. Very insightful.
@pamquick6009 күн бұрын
I believe it's important for you to listen to the chapters even if you don't do reaction videos of them. And if you do make a reaction video to each chapter and your followers have already seen you do a reaction to the song at the end of each, it will still be important to them to see exactly where that song originated from.
@andrewwest83349 күн бұрын
Always great to check out your reactions and jams. Not necessarily a reaction suggestion but I strongly recommend you watch Ren’s ‘chapters’ 1 to 8. They’re funny, sad, infuriating, tragic, uplifting, amazing. And provide a lot of extra context for much of his art. Also the clip of Ren showing how he messed with the Vera Lynn sample is excellent (from a musician and audio engineer’s pov).

This one is extra special❣️ I agree with the others to check out his Chapter’s in your private time. Very interesting and insightful! Love your new format but before you spin that wheel again I would consider adding TBP “Wade in the water” to wrap up the Troubles reactions with a bang🎉

Thank you for watching and reacting to this. I’ve been not well. It great to give shoutouts to those who can afford to financially support you but I get left feeling like the thumbs up and watching and comments are a waste to you because that’s all I can do to support in any way. I really enjoy watching but each time I hear those who can I feel it’s not important that if I can’t afford it then I’m not doing anything to support an awesome person.

I think there are a lot of us in the same situation. All we can do is help to increase the numbers on the "watched" and "like" and "share" counters, so hopefully yt comes through and does their bit. Doing that little something is better than nothing, if that little something is all I can afford, then that is all I can do. We are not helpless, we are using what is available to us to help in this small way.

Everyones circumstances are different. So far all I've done is subscribe to hundreds of Ren reactors, plus liked & commented too, if I feel I have something to add. I have bought some of his merch & of course all of his Albums. Sorry to hear you haven't been well, I hope Rens music has been a help. Great reaction, Wynand! Really great jam, too. Thank you so much. And here is some great News!... Ren has just announced he will be opening a wellness center in Brighton with helpful modalities for people suffering from chronic autoimmune problems. He said it is going to be the kind of place he yearned for through the years he was in bed, wracked with pain and feeling hopeless and desperate to know of Anything that could bring him some relief, even if temporary. He made a promise to himself back then that some day he would help others suffering the same fate. Now Ren has actually had positive experiences from some different modalities and he is finally in the position to create a center for others. This is such a loving thing for him to do, to make available treatments (like the hyperbaric chamber and red-light therapies he has benefitted from). Ren's center can potentially help mitigate many terrible symptoms of the mysterious autoimmune diseases. It can provide Hope as well, which we know is a life-sustaining mentality. This song, Troubles, is the perfect one to explain what happened to him and why Ren is so focused on bringing relief to others suffering similar physical and emotional tortures. I am so happy you will also cover the BTS and the acoustic version of this song. By the way, the sample you were wondering about is from Vera Hall's original song. And yes, Ren definitely obtained permission to use it!

I love that the channel is helping you in a tangible, real-world way. You put so much effort into not just the reactions but your song for Ren and it's only right that you're feeling that positivity and appreciation reflected back. ❤ As someone who shares navy illnesses with Ren, and is still stuck in them, I was so grateful to him for this song and its message. Hey Wynand, this was a though one for you, wasn´t it? - focussing on so many things ("Adidas?" "Fruciante lick" "That´s the picture of his screentest!", the lyrics, the vibe...) 😊. And I understand that you don´t comment to much on what he´s telling - as most of us, including you, knów the horrible things Ren´s been through - and still is going through. But we hold on to ´Hope´. BTW, after a a bit ´confusing´ start 😅: great jam with the song. Like I love your loop-videos also. And I find it amasing how you re-invent your own songs like ´Let me get over you' over and over again...👍 All the best from Koen from Belgium

This song made me cry so much… after all he went through and spoke of in his chapters it was heartbreaking… it’s so easy to bop to it as it is such a juxtaposition… Ren had said one night he was in full blown psychosis and he found some sharp pieces of I believe a tv on the street and just started cutting himself…,sometimes people don’t realize the depth of his pain… yesterday on X he told us it’s finally happening he is in the planning of a Wellness Center in Brighton with hopes to branch out to other places to help those that need it and are left without answers…he walks the walk donating a fifth of everything he has made… this is what a true human does… people over profits and to spread hope… thanks for your reaction and jam as always, it was really fantastic! 🫶🏻

Wynand, you will appreciate the BTS on this video, (kzbin.info/www/bejne/eIOQmHila8yjY9E). It gets into how he made that "wacawaca" sound. The sample is from Vera Hall and was "claimed" by Moby vs giving her credit for it. This pissed Ren off and he tracked down Vera's estate and paid them as well for the sample. The Chapters were a lead up to the release of this song. You can really get an insight into Ren's Troubles so far. This is a TLDR of that regarding his health battle. (kzbin.info/aero/PLKFO0C0E7JcvUyYZSyte8omVITyIKoS17). Your jam session was right on!
