To be fair, most stand-ins don't actually know most of the lyrics. They don't need to. They basically listen to the song a couple of times and try to sing the song. It's just a technical check, it's not supposed to be a good performance lol

This is stand-in rehearsal, they do them before contestants arrive. Shortly, they do that to assist the technical team (lighting, camera angles and visuals) and send videos to contestants to know if everything is fine or they need to do some changes
