Great review Teoh. Very complete and answered all the questions and seems very unbiased. My Pelican keyboard can click in the middle. I also I set the touchpad options in windows "tap" section, check ✔ "tap twice and drag to multiselect" so the workflow issues are not there for me.

I'm not an artist but I'd recommend a Huion Keydial to compliment your workflow if you're drawing on the go and still want access to your shortcut keys, it's a small programmable keydial that has the same amount of buttons as a keypad. It's in a much slimmer form factor compared to a separate bluetooth keyboard.

would be awesome if they managed to reverse engineer the surface keyboard connector to charge it directly from the surface.

I doubt those pins can output enough current to charge. It probably has just enough to work the original cover and power its backlight.

@@LoneRiderz i am pretty shure they can. the surface slim pen 2 does charge through the keyboard so it has to have enough power capability

Very reasonable trade-offs compared to the MS version. I'd rather use a mouse than a track pad, and being able to move around the keyboard is a big bonus. Presumably it could even be used with other computers

Hi, how is the typing quality of this keyboard? As in will you register any missed keystroke? Can you customize the touch pad?

Typing experience is typical of detachable keyboard. It's good enough but of course cannot match laptop keyboard. The Microsoft one is slightly better I feel but not really so much better than the much higher price suggests

Does not fit because this pen is as thick as the normal Surface Pen, thicker than Slim Pen 2

Great alternative option! But can this keyboard charge through the surface pro connector? And what if it runs out of battery can it be use when connect to surface pro connector without cahrging? Because to bring another keyboard charger is not convenient.

It can charge with any USB C, and can be used while charging

I have one doubt Samsung s8ultra, if we get that keyboard book cover, can we use that cover for taking notes using spen too Or does our hand weight too much If not Then tell one good book cover to use for s8ultra for taking down notes

Slim Pen 2 has slightly better line quality -- straighter lines.
